I AM AN ART HISTORIAN WHO STUDIES THE PSYCHOLOGY OF "GRIEF" AND WHY WE CREATE "MEMENTO MORI" SUCH AS GRAVEYARDS AND SUCH OTHER MEMORIALS TO RECORD THE PASSING OF LOVED ONES. I HAVE BEEN VISITING CEMETERIES SINCE I WAS 5 YRS. OLD. IN THE PROFILE PICTURE, I AM THE WITCH WITH THE GREEN FACE; MY 1ST-BORN, SARA IS BESIDES ME. WE HONOR SAMHAIN EVERY HALLOWEEN BY DRESSING AS WITCHES. I LIVED IN MASSACHUSETTS AND WROTE MY THESIS ON THE ART OF THE GRAVEYARDS IN THE NORTHEAST VS. THE ONES IN THE DEEP SOUTH. I ALSO BELONG TO THE AMERICAN GRAVESTONE SOCIETY, A GROUP WHICH LECTURES ON THE ARTISTIC ASPECT OF THE GRAVEYARD COMMUNITY AS WELL AS PRESERVE THE EXTANT MONUMENTS.
A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO I BEGAN A GENEOLOGY PROJECT, AND CREATED MEMORIALS ON F.A.G. FOR THE CHILDREN BURIED IN THE "BABYLANDS". I HAVE JOINED FELLOW F.A.G. MEMBER, J. MURRAY, IN HIS "NY ANGEL BABIES MEMORIALS PROJECT", WHICH CREATES LINKS TO THE CHILD'S FAMILY.
OUR 16 YEAR OLD PRINCESS, TIFFANY BORRERO, LOST HER 2 YEAR BATTLE WITH ACUTE MYLOGENOUS LEUKEMIA AND WENT BACK HOME TO GOD, TO REST. WON'T YOU PLEASE STOP BY HER F.A.G. MEMORIAL AND SAY A PRAYER FOR US, THE ONES SHE LEFT BEHIND... | |

Good Morning Amorifera! I just wanted to thank you, very kindly, for visiting my son's memorial, the beautiful tokens you left, and for your kind words of sympathy. Sorry it took me this long to say something, but I'm truly not myself anymore. My head is everywhere, except on top of my neck, most of the time since David passed. I know you understand my grief and share my sorrow, like I share yours and your family's over Tiffany's loss. Your lovely words, truly, felt like hugs to me. Thanks for your effort. I hope you czn getthe man straightened out. Tofurther complicate your situation, I am not family in the blood kindred sense, but a Naval Academy classmate who is trying to memorialize every member,which has the approval of our surviving classmates. We take that relationship as seriously as do siblings, and try to keep together to our end and even beyond. We have been close ever since our plebe summer in 1949 and this weekend are celebrating the 60th anniversary of our graduation and commissioning, with a memorial service in the chapel on Sunday, June 9, and inurnment of one fallen member and the spouse of another on Monday,June 9 at the Academy Cemetery Columbarium.

Hi Sweetie, thank you for your kind words of sympathy, they were very much appreciated. I just wanted to let you know that I was, finally able to make a memorial for my son. His angel day is tomorrow May 30. If you have a chance, please visit his memorial. His memorial # is 111365436. Tomorrow will be a very difficult day for my family and myself, for it will be his first anniversary in heaven. Please pray for us. I'm so sorry that I didn't have chance to visit Tiffany sooner. But I too, lost my son on the same month Tiffany passed. My eldest son David was diagnosed with a heart condition we had no idea he suffered. He then suffered a 2 strokes, one after the other. He was in the hospital in a coma and intubated until he passed. I thought I was going to lose my mind. After he passed I sunk into a horrible, deep, and painful depression that I just couldn't get out of. I isolated myself from everyone and everything, I just wanted to die too. This is a pain that is so very hard to explain with words. To make matters worse, I also have a heart condition and other conditions that make it worse. This tragedy almost killed me too. I'm still not doing very well, but I'm now trying to "come back to life" and start socializing again. I did visit Tiffany and will continue to do so. Well darling, thank you for letting me know about her passing, and believe me, my thoughts and prayers are with you and Tiffany's family!!
