Hi Nancy,
After pursuing 3000 hours toward licensure as a marriage and family therapist, I decied to take a break and look for a missing ancesotr on my family tree.
My grandmother and her brother were abandoned as children and adopted. We never knew who their birth mother was?
After a year long search, I finally discovered the skeleton in the closet with a newspaper article describing the cruel mother who left her children at the train depot.
Later, after finding the cruel mother's cemetary plot, I met the nephew.
The first thing he told me about her was "Did you know that her sister was the silent screen star Blanche Sweet? They used to spend time together in San Francisco"
I needed to ask him more information about her but at the time was just excited to get a picture of the missing ancestor which he had.
Bessie looked very much like Blanche who was the older sister. Also, my grandmother has resemblance to her as well as her daughter my aunt.
Do you have any information regarding Blanche's mother or father? Where she was born or any information regarding her parents?

I found the cemetery of the birth mother who was named Bessie Fern Fairchild. The man at the cemeteray told me her nephew lived just down the street.

We were both from Lindsay and I hung around with him when we were kids.
I have noticed that you drop tributes to him a lot.

I was with him the night he went through the ice. It was a real storm that night, and in the morning they found him by looking at the round ridges worn into the ice from going in circles. (he was lost in the storm.)

Are you related to Sally and David Forrest (who are probably both deceased by now), of Toluca Lake, CA? I think Sally was in real estate and David was at Warner Bros. with my grandpa, Nathan Levinson.

Hello ~
Thank you so much for honoring my mother with your note on her site. I cried when I saw that people have been leaving their well wishes there!
I don't know how to reach the katzizkidz person who uploaded the pictures found on the site. I wonder if you know how to reach him/her?
The reason is because the top picture is not of my mother. It is of the first "Meta" who was on very briefly before Mom....Jone Allison, I believe (though I may have the spelling wrong)was her name.
Mom followed her in 1952 and was on both radio and tv in the beginning!
I hope that you can direct me to a place where I can correct things...
