| Bio and Links | | I am a fan of this website because I feel it is so very important to honor the lives of those who have passed. I am especially inspired by the hundreds of members who take the time to remember those who went before us, not only the famous, but just ordinary family and friends who mean so very much to us. When I learned that my parents, who are buried in Fort Lincoln Cemetary (MD), are surrounded by the likes of Sonny Stitt, Dorothy Height, Shirley Horn, and countless other notable African-Americans, I became very interested in learning about the final resting places of various individuals. Making a "pilgrimage" last year to the grave sites of Bette Davis, Brock Peters, Scatman Cruthers, Rod Steiger and other notables at rest in Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills, was unbelievable and a true honor. Thanks to those of you who take the time to truly HONOR the lives of others and not simply try for FAMOUS BIO ratings. | |
