While researching my family tree, I became frustrated by a cemetery (St. John the Evangelist in Pittston, PA) whose records were destroyed by a fire. In an effort to locate my relatives, I decided to examine every stone in the cemetery. It only made sense to take my camera with me and post photos here for others in the same position. While I never found my relatives there, I take great satisfaction in knowing that my efforts helped others find theirs. I've since come to enjoy my quiet cemetery walks, and the interesting monuments I find along the way. I also add memorials from obituaries and cemetery records when the weather is unseasonable.
If I've made any errors, or if you have any information to add to any of my memorials, please let me know. I honor transfer requests from any relative. Please use the 'Suggest a Correction' link in the 'Edit' tab on the memorial, so it is easier for me to find. Please do not email me directly with a photo request, unless you can give me precise directions to the marker. Otherwise, please use the request a photo button on the memorial.
Please only use my email for personal communication.. when sending me information for memorials follow the directions here, or the changes might not get done!
