Your tombstone stands among the rest;|
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."

Find A Grave Memorial# 77071603
I am the author of a website www.mkwe.com/home.htm dedicated to the memory of the 16th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Civil War regiment. You have posted two photos of the gravesite of one of the 16th OVI's soldiers, John Green, Memorial# 77071603. I am asking your permission to present those photos on my website in the Laid To Rest section. My website is 100% non-commercial and for the research and enjoyment of those interested in the 16th Ohio or Civil War in general. Please let me know if it is ok to use the photo. Also, thank you for your work in documenting and posting the gravesites of our ancestors!

Do you know where I might find a picture of Joseph A King. He was my grandmother' Olive Irene Murray Bartholomew's grandfather. Also do you know for sure where his wife is buried? I know she was living with her daughter Ida King Bartholomew in the 1920 census. I figure she might be buried next to him but can find no proof .Thanks for any help you can offer, Lynn Bartholomew e-mail email@example.com

You are correct, and the Austins were duplicated. Thanks so much for pointing it out. I'll take care of linking everything and delete the duplicates.

I hope you don't mind I posted a picture of her. Mathias's brother Ivan Ruble was my great grandfather. My Uncle visited the Ruble brothers in Illinois and they gave him this picture.

I would like to add your photo of Melvin Monty gravestone to my Ancestry.com MONTY tree. Appreciate your taking the time to create it. I have been researching all 13 children of Matthew Monty and Salome Clark
Also I see there is no date of death on marker. I believe he died in December 1900, as his widow was granted a Pension back dated to 13 Dec. 1900

I did add this to the flower.
I can never tell who will add the information I send. And many people will not.! So, I also try to add it to the flower so it doesn't get lost.
I am happy to know that it was added..

Ok. I posted a link to his page on my Facebook timeline and someone asked me about my great-great grandfather, Corp Ovenden. ;0)
|Pierce City HBW fan||52300524|
Sampson Ovenden. I would like to drop the "Corp" as a title for Sampson Ovenden. Makes it more difficult to find this page in searches.
Thank you so much.
