 | William and Ann Boyd I noticed on the memorial for John Boyd that you were credited with the bio. Do you know who the other children of William and Ann Boyd were? I am looking for the parents of Margaret Boyd, born abt 1789, who married Hugh Blackburn in 1808 in Mecklenburg County. Any help with Margaret Boyd's possible parents would be appreciated. | | | Sharon Gerber
 | Photo of Joe Fortenberry Banner Hi! I emailed you a photo of the banner hanging at the events center in Canyon, Tx...for your Joe Fortenberry, in basketball! I sent it from my Find a Grave email, Dirkescape@aol.com, but a box popped up and asked me to fill in blanks from another email I have, Premont218. SO! I'm not sure which email has the banner. You might check your other mail boxes. Please let me know if you didn't receive it & I'll try again. A MOST important banner! We are proud to have it hanging in the events center! Sharon | | | Lanie

 | Re-Pony Starr have you seen this website of Helen Curie Davis, and do you know her? http://www.loosahatchiegrass.com/
I believe she's the original owner of 'Tom Starr jr. photo: That's where I got my info and she has LOTS of photos also. | | | Ann Pack Reese
 | RE: Samuel Poney Starr Thank you so much for the transfer and for leaving your great "bio" for them and photos. Oklahoma Indian Territory, by Ted Byron Hall, p. 84, states: May 19, 1912: Pony Starr came from Kinta to Whitefield Monday April 15th and stopped at Hall's store for lunch. He was armed with two six guns and two winchesters". I have a photo of him, but would need your e-mail. thanks again. ann | | | Ann Pack Reese
 | Samuel Poney Starr Thanks for the info: who's gun is in the photo. Helen Davis has the original of the man identified as Tom Starr, Jr. On the back of that original photo it states: "is a Starr, a Reese or a Lowrey". There are many news articles we've researched and all of them spelled his name PONY and one roll is listed as that spelling. But since the grave is listed Poney it's best to leave it at that. However, I'd like to have ownership but be able to use your article (please put you name on it-it's great). I'd like to use the photos you have also. Especially the man is very striking and it would be nice to verify which of the families he comes from. In my research the articles say: "Pony Starr rode into town today carrying 2 colts and 2 winchesters"! However he's a much smaller man and very lean. If you'd like a copy of the best photo (he's usually with people) I can send it. Thanks for everything!
