Please take note that any pictures taken as a request by myself will be used for my ancestry.com familytree. I started to really get into genealogy in about 2010. I utilize this as well as other websites. If I take a photo for you, you may do as you like with it.

I will be happy to transfer anyone to you that is not near and dear to my heart. Please tell me your relationship and if you are closer to the person that I am, I will transfer them to you. I have recently added veterans from Westchester, NY that are buried in Yonkers. Most of them are not related to me

Also, if you do not hear from me please right away, please resend your message in a few weeks. Like anyone else, I go through busy periods.

I have just found out that I need a person's contributer ID in order to transfer a person to them. Please include it with any messages for transfer that you send me.

"THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust."

RE: Catherine Reilly Tobin
I don't much about Catherine with the exception that her parents were William Tobin and Catherine Meade.
My husband, who did the genealogy long time ago, never came across the names of any siblings of Catherine.
It is my hope that with new groups popping up and new documents becoming available, we can break this wall down.
let's keep in touch, maybe they are related.

thanks for the transfer!

btw after I asked for this transfer, I found James Reilly, 121623187. would you be able to transfer this

Sweeney(s)
You are welcome for the photo. I have a plot map for Lasher - there are no other Sweeney(s) near that gravestone, sorry. The other Lashers you requested weren't near there either - I'm going back in a couple weeks and will request their plot map. It's really too soon here to take photos - when I went some of the footstones are still covered with snow. For one person's request all I could find is the last name on the large gravestone and then lots of ice/snow on ground.

RE: Harms and Eden
I am interested in Jo Daviess Co. because of Turner and Hunts ancestors came from there in the early 1800s.

RE: Rosetta Sweeney Lasher
I'm sorry but I can't help you with the Sweeney's. I have Archie Edgar Lasher listed as one of my unknowns, who may or may not have been from the Sebastian Lasher line. I entered Archie into Find A Grave from a US Headstone Application database that I found on Ancestry. What I do know is that the application was signed by a Rosetta Lasher.

Hi Marilyn,
Once again, I am looking for a transfer, if you are not a closer relative than I am and if you don't mind! Ethel Lillian Dalton (#83367901)and her husband Walter Sutliff are my Great Aunt and Uncle. Uncle Walt is my Grandmother Marie Jeanette Sutliff's brother.

Thanks for your consideration of this request!

Dalton Transfers
Hi Marilyn,
Thanks for the transfers of my Aunt Harriet and Cousin Georgie Dalton! I really do appreciate it!

I think the other Daltons are from a different family, but when I speak to Dad in the next several days I will find out and get back to you!

Stay safe in this crazy weather!
Maureen

Mary Scanlon
Sheila Scanlon headstone
Hi,
My aunt Sheila Scanlon 1907 - 1939 appears in your entry of Grave Memorial# 105297279. I would so like a copy of your photo. I can't read the inscription on the headstone. The family name of Nevin is on it, which makes no sense to me. A clearer picture of this headstone, would be of huge importance to me.
Thank you so much, for the time your take and the service you provide in connecting relations.

Sincerely,

Mary Scanlon

Daltons in Holy Mount Cemetery, Eastchester, NY
Hi Marilyn,
It's been awhile...I hope all is well! Since I'm home on a snow day, I am catching up on my Holy Mount relatives.

Alice Harriett (McGinness) Dalton (#113932264) and her son George (#115700121) are my fatherís 1st cousin (1x removed) and second cousin. If you are not a closer relation to them, would you mind transferring them over to my care?

Thanks!
Maureen
