Bio and Links
Bio Photo These heroes are dead. They died for liberty - they died for us. They are at rest. They may or may not sleep in the land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines, the sad hemlocks, the tearful willows, and the embracing vines. They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike of sunshine or of storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest. Earth may run red with other wars - they are at peace. In the midst of battle, in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment for soldiers living and dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead.

In the end, never let yourself become complacent to those who have went before us, always make time to remember the sacrifices that have been made for us by our Ancestors and the Men and Women of our Armed Forces who have guarded our Constitution with their lives, some gave all to secure our rights, liberties and freedom, 100's of thousands never came home....let us not forget as that would indeed make those, lives lost in vein...

James Kenning
Hello Michael

I claimed your photo Request for James Kenning At Pierce Brothers Cemetery, Westlake Village. I talked to a women named Linda, who told me they have no listing for him under that spelling. She was very rude, acted "put out", and was very curt. She grilled me on what relation I was to him. This was my first attempt at fulfilling a request at this cemetery, and would be hesitant to deal with them again. Other Find a Grave volunteers have told me they are very difficult to deal with, and dont want you taking photos on thier property. I would suggest in the future you call them personnaly and try to get his exact location. (818)889-0902. I have never had this issue with any of the other cemeteries I photograph, even at another Pierce Brothers Cemetery.

Sorry

Kevin

re: grave photo for Verne Heimbiger
Thank you Michael. The photo with all of the flags is very nice. Did you have an opportunity to get a close-up one of just Verne's marker?

Thanks!
For your time and effort in obtaining and publishing the photo of Section E. Are the crosses marked? Do you have a photo of Quillian's Cross? Have a blessed day!

I thank you for the lovely message you left for my uncle Doug. I have requested a photo of his grave but have not received the photo. Is there something else I need to do for this photo?

Michael,
Thank you for the info. I only discovered Find A Grave a few days ago. I think it is awesome what you and the other contributors do for our fallen heroes and their families. Thank you so much.
