Currently working on several trees. Born in Tampa, Florida, raised in Bayside, Queens County, New York City, New York, currently living in Northern New Jersey. Retired in 2008.|
On my mother's side there are Irish and German immigrants (mid 1800s) who lived and raised families in the New York City area. My grandmother on my father's side is the link that makes me a direct descendant of Edward Doty who came over on the Mayflower in 1620. There are generations of colonizers and pioneers on this side. My family on my father's side were pioneers who went from New England to Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Iowa and finally into the western states. I am trying to organize everything for future generations and to honor my ancestors who have been forgotten and struggled greatly to just to survive.
I WILL GLADLY TRANSFER MEMORIALS TO RELATIVES OF ANYONE WHO I HAVE ADDED, PROVIDING THE INDIVIDUAL IS NOT PART OF MY OWN CLOSE FAMILY. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB ON THE MEMORIAL PAGE TO REQUEST TRANSFERS. YOU MAY ALSO USE ANY PHOTOS THAT I HAVE TAKEN FOR YOUR FAMILY TREES, ETC.

Thank you so very much for the memorials for David and James Downey. They are the siblings of my great-grandmother, Bridget Downey Phillips.
Now I know what happened to them,or, at least, when they died.
Are you related to them?
|Rick Dugan||Essie "Eacy" Kyle|
My family records show my great grandmother from Dover, Morris Co. Buried at St. Mary's with her husbands family.....Dugan.
Her mother was Eacy Simpson and Married to James Kyle of Morris County. In searches the name Eacy is very elusive but came across this via LDs.

|Julianne Hockett Orlando||Enoch Hayes|
Enoch and my 2nd great-grandfather, DeWitt Clinton Parker, were brothers-in-laws as well as life-long friends. The men lie beside each other in a cemetery in Kelso, WA where I stop fairly often. I inherited the Parker photograph album which included old photos of Enoch, his third wife Sallie, and their son. DeWitt Parker moved to the Kelso area to live near the family and at the time of his death was living next door. The photos I have are on Ancestry with my permission for all family members to enjoy. Recently, a descendant of the second wife Mary Burdett contacted me. The family has found Enoch Hayes' bible on their bookshelf and are interested in returning it to a descendant. Do you know descendants who might want to pursue this?
Julianne Hockett Orlando
PS - Josephine Sage was Enoch's first wife. She died early in the marriage shortly after the family moved from Wisconsin to Colorado. I have copies of family bible pages with dates of births, deaths, and marriages. I also have photos of most of the family.

On this memorial you have listed HAD AT LEAST 14 CHILDREN INCLUDING CHARLES, GEORGE, NICHOLAS, MARGARET, ELIZABETH, MARY, ANDREW, THOMAS, PEGGY, ANNIE, RICHARD, GRACE AND JANE. I believe Charles was married to Elizabeth Waters (Marriage
08 Feb 1873 • St. Just-In-Penwith, Cornwall, England). They had one child Elizabeth Ellis Birth JUNE 1874 • Pendeen Cornwall England
Death FEB 1875 • Pendeen Cornwall England UK. Charles arrived in US around 1878 living with his brother George in Colorado before moving to New Jersey. His parents Charles and Peggy had fourteen children.
In your travels please keep your eyes open for my great grandfather William Mitchell Sanders Birth NOVEMBER 1864 • Redruth, Cornwall, England
Death 26 MARCH 1907 New Jersey. William was the first husband of Jane Hocking Ellis. His grave may not have a headstone.
