My brother, Steve passed away July 30, 2008. It was on our mother's 82nd birthday. She was never the same after he passed away. They are together now.
My step-father, Richard Lemesany was one in a million!! He married my Mom when I was almost 13. We only had him for a little over 10 years but he made our lives so much better while he was with us.
My father, Louis Doll, Jr., passed away in 1971 when I was 6 years old. Researching his side of the family has been a challenge. He was born in Monument, Liberty Township, Centre, PA. His parents were from Munson, Clearfield Co., PA. He was raised in Wharton, Morris Co., NJ, and was stationed at Camp Carson (now Fort Carson) in Colorado Springs when he met my mother in Dec. 1946. She was born in St Charles, MO and was raised in Colo. Spgs., CO. My mom was Miss Camp Carson in 1945.
I was born in NJ, raised in Colorado Springs, El Paso Co., CO, and now live in Barren Co., KY.
Researching the following: St Charles Co., Mo- Wolf, Gentemann, LePage, Himmelsbach, Klinghammer, plus other branches and twigs!!
Clearfield Co., PA- Doll, Bailey, McDonald, Jenney, Hendershot, plus some unknowns!! Please wish me luck!!
Wharton, Morris Co., NJ- Doll
Russell Co. KY- McGowan, Harris, Tucker, Popplewell and others
If you are doing research in Glasgow, these are great websites.
If I have created a memorial of your relative in Barren Co., KY I will gladly transfer.
Updates: Sad news...my cemetery hopping buddy moved out of state. Everybody else I know thinks I am too weird going to cemeteries!! LOL So I will not be going to cemeteries that are off the main roads until I find someone to go with me.
Summer 2011 Due to three pinched nerves in my neck I can't get out much and get photos. :(
Summer 2012 Still having problems with pinched nerves and now I have DVT (blood clots) in my left leg. Will life ever get any better?
Spring 2013 Life is not much better. I am trying to get to the Glasgow Cemetery a couple of times a week, for a very short time, to help build my strength up. It helps that I have a map of the cemetery and can go right to the plot and row to get the photos. It takes me about 3 days to recover every time I go but it brings me much joy to help others out with their genealogy work. :)
George Trendley George Trendley was my great-grandfather. I went to All Saints, but I don't recall finding his grave. If you know the location, would you let me know? Thank you. Also, how do you know the relationship to Grace Taylor & my grandmother, Susan Trendley Reinecke? Susan had two brothers, George and Charles, and only one child, my mother, Margaret Reinecke Cox. Just really curious. Thanks again, Janet Cox Melton
Freddie Leon Glass Freddie Leon Glass is buried at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetary. I am not sure of the location. He was my father-in-law. He is the son of Walter Leon Glass and Mable Sanders Glass. He was married to Mary Eleven Byrd and they had 2 sons.
RE: Annie Katherine Wilkerson-29372913 Annie's parents were married in Catawba Co., NC (which is where I live) Feb 17, 1886. In 1900 they were living in the Newton Township in Catawba Co., NC. 1900 Catawba Co., NC Census:
Thomas Wilkinson Oct 1859 (42) NC Dora Wilkinson Aug 1865 (34) NC Clayton Wilkinson Jan 1887 (13) NC Samuel Wilkinson May 1889 (11) NC Annie Wilkinson Aug 1895 (4) NC Claudie Wilkinson Apr 1894 (6) NC Glenn Wilkinson Mar 1897 (3) NC Joe Wilkinson May 1899 (1) NC
FamilySearch missed this family. Austin Harrell lived next door. Find his name and when the actual census record comes up you will see that Thomas and family were living next door.
The surname is Wilkinson. Annie was the informant and gave her name as Annie Wilkinson on her mother's death certificate. Wilkerson is incorrect.
Thomas died in 1904 and is buried in Eastview Cemetery in Catawba Co., NC. Later Dora moved with her youngest children to Durham. She had lived there 30 years when she died.
I have talked to a granddaughter who lives in Catawba Co.
Nannie Cora (Yates) Norris Regarding the Newspaper Article you added, I would prefer it not be included on her memorial page, please. I would not like to transcribe it. The death was prior to what happened to the person, please, it is not necessary to describe the aftermath of the death.
RE: Charles Kerley-17792829 I went back to the cemetery today. Charles is actually Charles A, and I added a new photo. I always wondered why some people had such good photos of the Kerley family stones, but now I know the answer. Someone from the monument company cleaned the stones. I asked a family member how this was done, and she did not know, but will look into it. Now I want to clean the entire cemetery in this way. But I did take photos of some of the cleaned stones, and I am trying to add them. Somebody else has already added Quillon and Elizabeth. Now the question of Charles middle initial and age is answered.
