RE: Laura Jane Cole Freeman Owen
As for visiting cemeteries to take photos, over the years I've learned to be prepared for any eventuality. Finding a stone covered in multiflore rose and poison ivy once, I've learned to take heavy gloves and clippers; horribly dirty stones have taught me to take a hand broom and rag as well as water to gently rinse and wipe off any dirt; the stone that has sunken down so you can almost but not quite read the dates at the bottom have led to me taking a trowel (and praying the soil is not hard!); I've learned in the forums here on findagrave that a flashlight pointed not at, but from the side of a stone along its front can make seeming illegible etching readable and that a spray bottle of water on some surfaces can do the same (while being careful to take a photo before and then again after spraying since sometimes the water makes things worse rather than better); often times I want to take notes of what I see in the moment at the cemetery, but that takes more hands than I have, so I take along a small tape recorder as a well. All of those items go in an old backpack, though I've been rethinking that lately, trying to come up with something better.
Good luck on your venture and happy hunting!

RE: Laura Jane Cole Freeman Owen
My grandmother was a Cole--a descendant of William Newton Jasper, Laura's brother. All of my information comes from her. Unfortunately, I have nothing further on either of Laura's husbands. Sorry I can't be of any help.

RE: Rachael Best Bishop Main
You are welcome. I have sent an edit to the manager of the memorial to correct the spelling of the name. We have now taken pictures of all the stones at Utica Cemetery. I am still adding some but we did not fine a stone for John Main/Maine. I checked Names in Stone and also the Utica church records and there is no record of John buried in this cemetery. Of course that does not mean he is not there - it just means there is no stone.

RE: Cravens Cemetery
Happy to help. I'll run over there today to get the mileages and then send you the directions. It's east of Stockton, in the county, but the roads are fairly good and it's very easy to get to.

RE: Leroy Empson - South Pleasant View Cemetery
No nothing about Cassie. Considering his age at death, she may have remarried. There are still some burials that have turned up, or are Cenotaphs

Belleville Cemetery
Do you have any more detailed information on the location of Belleville Cemetery beyond what is on the cemetery description page? I'm having trouble finding it. If you know a nearest cross-street, any landmarks in the area, or about how far it is from Russellville, that would be helpful. Thanks.
