My brother "Skip" and I enjoy genealogy. He's my expert regarding Belmont county, OH. We both take photos of tombstones, especially of family members. Some of the surnames are Bain, Bane, Blaine, Budd, Curtis, Giffen, Giffin, Griffith, Haines, Hepburn, Hinkle, Keyser, Long, Milligan, Pond, Spears, Shahan, and Terrill.|
In addition to Belmont county, OH, we explore Ohio and Brooke counties in WV. I travel between Belmont Co and Columbus, OH. So, I make a few stops along the way, such as Cambridge or Zanesville.
I look for family tombstones across the country and try to link them back to Belmont Co., OH or Ohio Co., WV.
I have several GIFFEN / GIFFIN family trees at ancestry.com. There's my Giffen family which started with Robert and Mary (Bane) Giffen. Plus a family tree for the Andrew Giffin family.
My ancestry.com tree name is "Terry Magyar"
More recently, I've added family trees for Giffens/Giffins in the following Ohio counties; Athens, Butler, Coshocton, Licking, Miami & Hamilton, and Ross County. Many of these Scott ~ Irish lines can be followed back to the late 1700s, in Penn.
I presently live in Franklin Co., OH, but grew up in Belmont Co., OH.

Please contact me (use the EDIT function) if need an item corrected of if you have additional information regarding any of the these families.
I highly recommend the Cumberland Trail Genealogical Society's book "Your Guide to Belmont Co. Cemeteries". ($20 + shipping)

About my Griffith ancestors;
My father's mother, Roxie P. Griffith, was one of Isaac Nelson Griffith's daughters. His father was William Griffith .. as you said, he is buried in Iowa.
For a while, i could research that line Physically, when we lived on the west side of Columbus, Ohio. It was 45 miles west of my gggrandfather's birthplace in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Two years ago, we retired (a second time, USAF the first), sold our home of thirty years, arranged my mother's funeral and moved to our present home in Sarasota, Florida.
Thank you for your continued input.

Terry, I'm confused. Your memorial (35384193) was created first. That's why I put the photo there. Thanks for your attention.
Lord's Blessing, Roxie

Thank you for the census info.
I have also sent you a edit request with, birth year, parent's and wife's link numbers.
Advise if you need me to message information.
|Sheila Duplaga||RE: David Parshall|
David was born in 1777 in either Southold or Patchogue, Suffolk County, NY.
I do not know about his children.
Would like additional information about his parents and siblings. I have family history back to Lion Gardiner 1599-1663.
Parents Elias Parshall #57654997 and Anna Wells Parshall #67859649.
Both parents go back to Lion Gardiner.

You're very welcome! I found Luther Griffin and a Lawrence/Lawerence Griffin in another section of the cemetery. I got photos/made memorials for them if they are connected to you as well. Luther and Lawrence were in the same section (section 25) but buried several yards apart. Luther's wife does not appear to be buried in this cemetery.
