Click on the tomb for more info. I've been seriously interested in family genealogy for a long time. If I've added memorials to non-family members it's because I was there and had a camera while looking for my family (I'm a grave walker). Some markers catch my eye and I must photograph them. I try hard to capture the Veterans when I find them...because they deserve it. I'm not interested in building an empire of memorials for the sheer sake of numbers so I'm more lax over turning them over to family than Find A Grave's rules. If a relative is closer to you than me I have no problem turning them over. If they are at all relation to you and not me then just ask, tell me your relation and they are yours. I'd like to thank the volunteers who have brought me photos from far away, you are wonderful. You may use these photos for any non-profit reasons (Ancestry.com, findagrave spouses, etc) I've been happily married for 38 years to a wonderful woman who keeps me in check. (I need to be kept in check.) I'm a NRA Life Member (gun enthusiast), from bull's-eye pistol to BMG, a certified PADI SCUBA Divemaster, Extra Class HAM radio operator and 4th dan Judo black belt. I wish I could fly, parachute, play an instrument and dance but I can't...or havn't yet. I also make a mean breakfast! | |

 | Thanks for trhe transfer Thanks Mark for the transfer of the Roods to me as they are my great grandparents. I tried to find them months ago but didn't know what cemetery they were in so I created my own memorials for them. But in the process of getting more information about them I found you had already created memorials for them. So thanks again.Added by Bob & AJ on Apr 27, 2013 12:21 PM | | | nancy elliott
 | Please transfer Hello Mark. Would you please transfer Adoph Larson 90867148 at Riverside...to me? He is a relative and I'd like to connect he and his wife. THANK you for all the work you have done with findagrave...wonderful! Nancy | | | Norman Cross
 | Ralph Henry Cross Saw your memorial and wondered if you had taken the photo personally. The question I had was that on the military application for a headstone I found it lists Richards Dale Cemetery which is next to West Oakwood. | | | Norman Cross
 | RE: Cross Family - Macon County, Mo. Thanks, I thought we had spoken before, just could not remember when. | | | Norman Cross
 | Cross Family - Macon County, Mo. Was wondering if you were related to any of the Cross family in Macon County, Mo. I saw your memorials you have posted and was curious if we were connected in some fashion of were you related to some of the other people in the Bevier cemeteries you were photographing in.
The Cross people were mostly my 2nd and 3rd cousins. Richards Dale in Bevier is where my mother Nellie Margaret (Dawson) Cross is buried. | | | Billie Peyton-Runyon

 | RE: Henry Dechert Do you know when they emmigrated?Added by mrenner on Mar 23, 2013 9:34 PM | | | mrenner
 | RE: Henry Dechert Extremely indirectly. His grandchildren, Hattie and William married Brauers in Stonington area. Their new spouses were a niece and nephew of my great grandmother...the sister of Anna Brauer. I would like to know if your father has any information on Henry's wife Anne Catharina Deer. I think there may be a connection there. My great great grandmother was Elizabeth Doerr/Dorr/Derr Gebhart of Chandlerville. She came from Hesse Darmstadt and was in Arenzville upon arrival. She soon after wed George Gebhart (Capehart in Illinois marriage index) of Chandlerville. He purchased farm land in Chandlerville and also Stonington. He had two sons that farmed for him in Stonington, George William and John Henry Gebhart. I am wondering if Elizabeth could be related to Anne Catharina. I can't imagine her coming across the ocean by herself, but I can't find any information. She emmigrated Jul 1856. She was born Oct 1833. In 1860 they are in the census living in Chandlerville with the eldest son who was one yr. old at time. There is one August Derr, 5 yr. old living in household. I presume this is a relation of Elizabeth. Would love to know if you have any information on the Doerr/Deer/Dorr people. Thanks so much, MelanieAdded by mrenner on Mar 09, 2013 8:53 PM | | | | [View all messages...] |
