My name is Kathy, I am the mother of three wonderful sons, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons. I discovered this wonderful site several years ago. I have enjoyed helping others as they search for their loved ones. I will be happy to take photos of graves in and around Lampasas County, Texas. I am retired and would love to be able to return some of the many favors I've received while doing my research. I am researching the Golden (Goldin), Williams, and Morgan lines from Alabama to Louisiana. I am also researching the Scallan and Ducote families of Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.|
At present, I am making a point to visit, take pictures, and record each and every grave in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, TX. This is a personal thing to me and my way of saying I care for those who have gone before us. I have not a single family member in Oak Hill and am happy to transfer memorials to those of you who are family members.
Please feel free to use any photograph I have taken for your own personal family tree use.

Thank you so much for the transfers that was very nice of you. Very good work you are doing out at Oak Hill, very hard work. A lot of my family is buried there. I am part of the White/Clark/Markward/Shaw Connection in this county. I happen to live in Kempner, TX!

May God bless you Kathy!!

The earliest date on the bio. information I sent earlier today should be 1860, rather than 1880.

I noticed you left a flower on the memorial of Thomas Burton Love and I'm wondering if you are related to him. His wife was my aunt, Juanita Hope Bryan Love. I have their wedding picture, clippings of his illnesses and death and even the book from the funeral home from when he died. They had no children and she had none with her second husband, so when she died, I ended up with many of her things. I would love to share all that with any of Burton's relatives who would like to have them. Thanks! Carolyn Sims, Canyon, TX
Thanks for the transfer and thanks for putting it out there for me to find.

Thanks so much! That really helps. I will remove the ones from Prairie Lea. :)

Kathy, not a problem. Just so you know, they are in my family tree but distant relatives. If anybody comes along with closer connections an want them, I'll certainly let them have them.

There is a duplicate for this person # 72552704. It was created after yours and there is no picture of headstone. I am a distant relative and her death cert. shows her name as Dorothy May Cooke and her parents were Bernice Kennith/Kenneth May and Alma Casbeer. I can not believe they would have named her Dorothy May May. I figured whoever made out the death cert. made a mistake. 1930 U.S. Fed. census shows her name as Dorothy A. May. I have seen 2 other trees on ancestry.com that show her as Dorothy Alice May with the same parents as on her death cert. but they show her married to a Claude Anderson Gray Jr. whom she married in 1941 in Lampasas with 2 sons. I have found a marriage cert. for her marriage to Clifton Cooke which is the name of her spouse on her death cert. it has her name as Dorothy May not Dorothy Gray which should have been the name she had when she married Clifton whether she was divorced or widowed it seems she would have kept her 1st husbands name until she re-married since she supposedly had 2 sons with Gray, don't you think? So now I need to find proof that she was married to this other man 1st. This one is a puzzle but I am tenacious. Sorry, I guess I didn't need to go into such detail I just wanted to let you know there was a duplicate created after yours in case you want to contact her and ask her to delete. Hope this is helpful.

Ok, here goes. In the 3 plots are

Edna Mae Richard Fletcher 1923-1999
Ada Jones Golden 1889-1966
Lora Comella Golden 1906-2008
Eulise Louis Hill Sr 1897-1950
Florence Shaffett Hill 1898-1983

Don't know if and/or how related but they are in the same few plots. There may be more, but, you need to check with the cemetery office, they are very helpful. Should you need better, clearer photos, please do not hesitate.
