Bio and Links
Bio Photo The image of the peacock was a logo for a talent agency business in 1969 located in St Simons Island, Georgia. The owner, "Country Bill" Davis, also had residences and/or connections in AL, FL, VA and MA. If you have seen this logo anywhere, please send me a message with any information you have by clicking below on "leave message" - the image could help solve a genealogy mystery...Is "Country Bill" really Charles Gilman Raymond? Thanks for keeping your eyes out for it.

My motivation is to provide historical records to others. "Pay it forward." If what I've posted helps you in your genealogy or provides you some comfort because you can visit a grave from near or far, then my mission is accomplished and I urge you to help others in some way.

I don't mind if you use my pics for your personal use or even on your genealogy website but say where it came from!! If you save a photo to your computer from findagrave.com, reference findagrave.com and the memorial number, let others know about this website! Without the reference, I consider the image stolen.

If you have any add'l info or corrections on any of the memorials I have posted please use the "EDIT" tab on the memorial to send me a "correction or suggestion."

I am most willing - and passionate - to make the memorials as detailed as possible. I use online and/or hard copy vital records and census records, along with family genealogies and other biographies, data, and newspaper articles to make the memorials I post as complete as possible - I have several projects going at the same time so it may take awhile for me to add details. Research takes time so if you come across one of my memorials that lacks details and you have some, please help me out and send the details along to me via the EDIT tab. If you would provide me your resource(s) I will include in the bio - the source(s) will help generations to come...

Upon my death I authorize any of my memorials to be transferred to any FAG contributor as they are requested.
[thanks to FAG Cathy Clark for this statement on her contributor page as this is my desire and agreement wholeheartedly - perfect and appropriate]

RE: Chas King
That is who I am really looking for~Emma L Decker. She married my 1st cousin 3X removed, James Andrew Spicer 6 Dec 1930 Maine, USA.

Emma was James Andrew's 5th wife. James was even married to Margaret G Warden (2nd wife) who later when on to marry John Montgomery Carnegie (# 33240395). I have learned sooooooo much about the early families of MA & have connected so many memorials together while "tracking" the ever elusive James Andrew Spicer. =)

I have traced Emma & Andrew through the 1930 & 1940 US Censuses & Maine Directories for that time. Maine Death records are not available after 1922 & I have found nothing under the Social Security Death records.
More than likely Emma died in Maine & is buried under the last name Spicer.

I also, have tracked Emma's daughter, Henrietta Elenor "Nettie" (Brower) Dow, Kuhns, Little.....but have not found her death records either. =)

As I go along I Edit what I find......connecting the families together. I even found a Stillborn baby of Nettie & Leslie Harold Dow buried in PA so I made a memorial for him. (memorial # 163473453).

RE: Chas King
I use the records for DOB,too as some headstones were replaced, added later, etc. & some rely on memory instead of records when ordering new headstones. =) Thanks for being so patient on the Edits, you help make them fun as they show the individuals lived a good life & are more than just a headstone.
The son, Arthur Tyler's DOB is off by 2 years per MA Birth records & WWII Reg card.

Charles, also remarried ~ Emma L (Decker) Brower 1914 Auburn, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA

Source: Massachusetts, Marriage Index, 1901-1955 and 1966-1970

2nd marriage for both of them, Charles 60 yrs old & Emma 53 yrs old

RE: thank you
Thank you for your kinds words and also for your edits. I try to do a bit of research when posting but have to balance that with the backlog of photos to transcribe, because when the weather if good I go out and take more.
Regards,
Donna

Charlotte was his mother. The Find A Grave memorial copied her death date from the cemetery transcription on the Cayuga County rootsweb site, it stated death as 1950. But it was 1954. I have put in a edit to change that.
Thank you.
