Hi, I'm Heather. I was born in Mobile, Alabama and have lived all over the South,East and West Texas, Chicago, Hawaii and now Michigan. I have two grown children and two grandchildren. When I was in nursery school, way back in the early 1960s, we were taken on a field trip to the cemetery in Mobile where the yellow fever victims are buried. It was located outside of the old downtown library. It was such a fascinating visit that it created a lifelong passion for cemeteries that I have passed onto my kids. Here is a quote from a song that my son, Jesse shared with me. It's by Dave Matthews: "Grave digger, when you dig my grave, can you make it shallow, so that I can feel the rain?" |
