Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm Laura (Greening) Myers. I live in Baltimore, MD and have loved "grave stomping" for many years. One can often learn a lot about people by reading their stones. I was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. My family surnames - Paternal: Greening, Benedum, Hanes, Hetrick, Heffelfinger, Frase, Weygandt. Maternal: Coltrane, Hines, Bondurant, Hill, Price, Michell, Umbarger, and Gollehon. I am a Mayflower descendant, with three ancestors having signed the Mayflower Compact. Scottish, Irish and French on my mother's side and English, German and Swiss on my father's side.

Mary Webb Nicholson~Memorial# 22990113
Laura ~ Thank you for all you do on this site for many people! I really appreciate the Memorial for Mary. I am so glad to read her story, albeit, that it did not end well for her, personally.

My Sister, Judy's and my Parents were involved in Aviation in WWII on Long Island with William "Bill" Lear, and in Wichita, KS for LearAvia, BEECH & CESSNA Aircraft companies. The two of us are always interested in those who served, both Militarily and in Civilian participation. We have a grand fondness for Aviation!

What a wonderful story of ground-breaking for women, for service to both America and England, and her heroism by this Grand Lady for the Axis Powers during the War, and for Aviation overall! We honor her. The 99s were truly a very special group of courageous women. She and they soared with the Eagles and "...*slipped the surly bonds of Earth...and put out their hand(s) to touch the Face of God...".

Thank you for sharing her with all of us!
