|David Sykes||Thank you|
I have found my great-grandfather's resting place,John Morgan Sykes.
Hello, I was wondering if you knew anything about a Albert Doolin who was raised in Osgood Missouri and was a friend of my Great Grandparents who were around his age. My grandmother passed and I have two photos of him I would love to give to his family.
Thanks, Ryan Colter
Are you directly related to the Sykes? :-)
One of my g-grandmother was
Cynthia Elizabeth Sykes Reid (1865 - 1912)
Dear Jack, I have reluctantly changed Hampton's burial place to Edinburg Cemetery based on his death certificate. I frequently have found people were not buried in the cemetery specified on the death certificate. The person who gave me the information was Lucille Elledge, Hampton's daughter. She went to my church and she worked for my grandmother at Southwestern Bell Telephone. I knew her very well. She also told me that Hampton died in Ponca City. You indicated that Hampton died at Wright Memorial Hospital but didn't say where that is located. I found it difficult to change the information that Lucille has given me and would appreciate anything else you can find, i.e. a gravestone photo, that would confirm the place of Hampton's burial. Thanks.

I received your suggested correction on Hampton Elledge's memorial stating that he is buried in the Edinburg Cemetery in Grundy County, Missouri. Someone who told me they were part of his family previously told me he died in Ponca City and was buried in Gage. That seemed to make sense as he was living in Oklahoma in 1940. Are you related to Hampton, and if so, are you absolutely certain he was buried in Edinburg? If so, are you saying that his wife was buried there too? Please advise as I like to get things right on these memorials.
I know I have Willis and Johnson memorials. Check them out to see if they are in your wife's family line, and I can transfer them also.
