|I'm 67 years old. Live in Union Star, Missouri, close to St. Joseph. I retired last year but going back to work part time at place I retired from.|
Have a husband,son and mini dachshund.
Just got into find a grave by accident but love looking up ancesstors grave sites.
also like the fact I can leave flowers on there because someday may not be able to go to all the places we need to. We continued the tradition started by my father in law of decorating the graves of their ancestors.

Etta Mary Phelps was daughter of Aleck Morlock and Mary Frances Parker. Therefore she was a niece of John H. Parker. The SSDI has her name as Etta Phelps but her obit in the St. Joseph Gazette 2 May 1977 calls her Mary Morlock Phelps.

Susie Kretzer was daughter of George W. Parker and Rosa Gertrude Walker. The SSDI and her headstone have her name as Susie. In her obituary in the St. Joseph Gazette on 3 August 1978 and in obits of her siblings she is called Gertrude Kretzer. Her husband's obit from St. Joseph News Press 6 January 1970 gives his name as Don Thomas Kretzer.

|Jean M Cuevas||James James|
Hi! Wonder if you have anything more on James James? His father's name, or siblings? Where he may have been born or lived. I have a James C. James, son of John and Nancy James who migrated from NC to AR then to Dade/Christian Counties in MO, trying to fill in the gaps and his birth year was the same as yours.

Are you sure you meant to send me the msg. about Ralph Parker? Or did you mean to send it to "JimO" Member # 46874118.
I ask b/c it was him that left you a msg. on your pg. about Ralph being your uncle not me but I THINK he left you that b/c of the Bataan connection & may not be able to help you.
I did do some looking & found 1 place that claims to have John Marion Parker's parents names, however, that info is completely contradicted by other places so I hesitate to lead you in the wrong direction...

I saw your comment on the memorial to Ralph Parker. You are correct; he was your uncle. You might want to visit this page:

|Gordon Hazard||RE: Hazard family|
Our common connection would likely be with John Hazard (1740 - 1882) and his wife Judith Hanks (1744 - 1820). Their son, Martin William Hazard is my great, great, great, great grandfather. Martin had a brother named Henry Harper Hazard who had a son named Joel Morris Hazard (1817 - 1896). Joel lived in Missouri. I know Joel Morris Hazard had 5 wives during his lifetime. One of the wives (number 3) who Joel married to between 1853 and 1860 had a son with Joel. I do not know this son's first name. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info...back then they had 10-12 kids, who in turn had 10-12 kids and before you know it you have hundreds of grandkids...it is fun, though, to search for them.....it is amazing how much new info is added to the web....great for genealogy!

Dear Pepper Lou,
I am not related to these Parkers. I have a habit that whenever I visit a new cemetery, I record any Parkers I find and check to see if they have been placed on Find A Grave. If not, then I do it.
