I enjoy taking and posting photos.

Cemetery walking involves planning, time, gas, bees, flies, gnats, ticks, assorted other bugs, dogs, burrs, briars, weeds, tall grass, snakes, scrapes, cuts, mud, dirt, snow, rain, dust, wind, sun, rutted roads, hills and dales, getting lost, and BUCKETS of sweat.

I had to throw my lunch to a couple wild peacocks headed my way. Seems they have a fondness for egg salad.

I appreciate those folks who list their source when posting my photos to Ancestry.com :)

Mary Feinholz Prince #152041863
I just found this memorial for Mary Feinholz Prince #152041863. I was unaware of her marriage to Charles Prince. He raised my Grandfather William H. Prince. He is the "son" mentioned by you. Charles was not the biological father of Willie, but his birth mother gave him to Charles. I've been researching this for 40 years, and have much headway in the past four years. Charles did marry two times since his marriage to Mary. Florida Sinks in 1906, and another named Hattie in Peoria, Ill. prior to his death. Charles also adopted a son Harold Prince in 1908. Please feel free to visit my Ancestry Tree : William Heager "Willie" Family Tree. I can be contacted at Thomyraprince@juno.com. Thank you for your service to us...Thom Prince

I ran across something that might be of interest to you. My 3rd GGrandfather is on this list as James Justice. Here is the link:

http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-strange-haunted-history/2013/11/camp-douglas-p-o-w-baptisms-by-chicagos-st-james-church-2/

You will have to copy and paste it into your browser. It is about a P.O.W. Called Camp Douglas.
2,000 Confederate soldiers died there.

Mary Mangus Newman
Could you please tell me where you got the information on her birth, death date and that she was the wife of Robert Newman? Was this on a marker for her? She was my 4th great grandmother. I have tried to find information on her, and obit or anything. In the 1860 Census in Chandlerville Robert is married to Mary and she is 28 to his 26 years of age. She would have been born about 1832. In the 1870 census Joanna is listed in the same household as housekeeper age 24. In the 1880 census Robert is listed with still a different woman.

Rev. Clark
Thank you for the transfer of him. His great or GG grandfather was conscripted by the British in the 1700s. He switched sides and fought for the Americans in the Rev. War and was murdered by Indians in about 1813 in Southern Illinois.
Thanks again

Thank you for transferring my great great grandfather's John Weese memorial #63595394. You really didn't have to transfer it and you are doing such a great job with all your memorials- and I think I was pretty much done updating it. But thank you for all your help on that one and also other relatives that are in your care. I do so appreciate it.. Thank you- Steve Grover
