2Lt John M. Morris Jr
2Lt John M. Morris Jr was a crewmember on board of a B-24 tailnumber 42-40779. he was lost SW of Crete in preparations of the attacks on Sicily in July 1943. His body was never accounted for and his name is inscribed on the Wall of Missing of the Carthage Cemetery in Tunis, North Africa.

I have just finished (10 July 2015) the project "They stayed behind", the story of the temporary American GELA Cemetery on Sicily, where over 1,200 men and women have been buried between July 1943 and April 1947.

It is available on DVD. I have added a chapter "missing in action". You took a picture of a cenotaph asnd I would like to ask your permission to use the picture you took on my DVD. Of course you will be credited

thank you

RE: Harry Crawford
Donna,

Since the information was taken from an entire page of the Kingsport Times, at ancestry.com, I can't copy it and send it to you as a single item. The following is a manual transcript of the item:

Tuesday, June 29, 1965.

Thanks so much for the transfers! It does look like it is spelled with a G on the grave marker.

Carrie Childers
1st thanks for all of your work. I am the grand daughter of Laura Essie Noe Catron. Carrie Childers was my grandmother's sister. I have recently been seeking info about my grandmother's side and noticed this on Find A Grave. Laura Essie Noe is listed as a child and with the family in 1900 in Hamblen Co TN and then next in the census in 1910 in Illinois. Grace Allena Noe died in Illinois and they must have come back to Tennessee. The death certificate shows Arenzville, Cass, Illinois for Grace is Event Date: 15 Feb 1916. The grave marker says 1/20/1916 - they probably knew best. I just thought that I would tell you about my grandmother. I am going to try to do a page for her and you could connect if you like. Thanking you again for your work. Noted if you have anything about George Noe's extended family. I am seeking that. George's parents were Jacob Noe and Sarah Spoon Noe. Sarah's father was Abraham / Abram Spoon Born 1788 and Died 10/25/1866. His widow Mary Polly Smith Spoon received a pension. I cannot find out which side Abraham Spoon fought on. Any help will be appreciated.
