RE: Belfast Cemetery
No hurry of course. It's just something that would be helpful.

I really feel you should use the Oldest Section designation because it's more descriptive. It literally is the oldest section as the burials date from the beginning of the church (1828) to about 1839 or so (with one spousal exception). Then they started burying people in what we refer to as the Old Section in the 1840s (none of the burials in that section are earlier than that). And as I mentioned all the other memorials in that section are already designated as in the Oldest Section.

Elaine is buried with her husband at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Allentown, PA. I'd appreciate if you could update her memorial. Thanks!

Belfast Cemetery
Thank you for making the corrections and deleting what I suggested.

Based on what you posted for this cemetery you seem to have a cemetery list of some kind indicating which section people are buried in.

Would you be willing to go through all the memorials for this cemetery and suggest plot information for memorials added by others and that you didn't add recently (some of your earlier memorials for this cemetery don't all have plot information if I'm not mistaken).

I know it's a lot of work but this will allow people to more easily find who they are looking for when they visit the cemetery.

Also I might suggest changing the plot designation of the memorials that are in the small section containing the oldest graves from 'Left Old Section' to 'Oldest Section' so they are all consistent (most of them are already like the latter).

I plan to ask the administrators to add some more information to the description about the sections. Do you have any information about this cemetery you feel would be good to add to the description?

Jacob Loux
I recently was up at Deep Run Cemetery taking other pictures. We did some cleaning of grave stones and took new pictures of Jacob and Mary Loux. I can post if you like. Also the stone said 66 year 16 which would make his birth in April.

Hi, I am so pleased to see grave stone photos that I can read. I see the stones are cleaned. If this is your work, great job! I have direct ancestors and their families buried in this cemetery, Price Cemetery and Montg Baptist Cemetery and I had to send you a huge thank you for your hard work and dedication.

Jonas Hockenbury, Memorial# 156686180
Would you link Jonas to his wife, Pearl Edna Hockenbury, Find A Grave Memorial# 157010659? Also, her maiden name was Arndt and Jonas' middle name was Dilts.

Also, would you add the following obit to Jonas' page?

Jonas D. Hockenbury, 60, of 81 Main Street, West Easton, general foreman of the maintenance department and chief of police at the Ingersoll-Rand Company’s plant, Phillipsburg, died at Easton Hospital at 10:55 this morning. He was admitted to the hospital on September 20 for surgical treatment.

Mr. Hockenbury, while walking down a flight of steps at the Ingersoll plan in September received a scratch on his left leg from a nail which projected from a board. The wound refused to heal and finally gangrene developed. An operation was performed at Easton Hospital on Monday, November 7, and his left leg was amputated.

Deceased was a native of New Jersey and had been employed by the Ingersoll-Rand Company for the past 20 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl Arndt Hockenbury, and by one son, Harry Jonas Hockenbury, aged six years, living at home. He also leaves a brother who is a resident of New Jersey. He was a member of Easton Lodge, No. 45, Loyal Order of Moose, and of the Ingersoll Relief Association.

(Appeared in the Easton Express (now Express-Times) on November 19, 1932)

The funeral of the late Jonas Dilts Hockenbury, foreman of maintenance and chief of police at the Phillipsburg plan, Ingersoll-Rand Company, was held at 2 o’clock this afternoon at his home, No. 81 Main Street, West Easton. The Rev. Frank W. Teske, pastor of St. Mark’s Reformed Church, Easton, conducted the services and interment was made in the Easton Heights Cemetery. The pallbearers were Michael Dowd, John Barr, and Paul Eilenberg, representing the Ingersoll-Rand Company and three member of Easton Lodge, No. 45, Loyal Order of Moose.

(Appeared in the Easton Express (now Express-Times) on November 23, 1932)

Thank you.
