|M W Bencal||Thank YOU!|
My Dear Find A Grave Angel Janie,
I think about you all the time.
I am so grateful to you for giving me a huge HUGE jump start into genealogy! Your work and great kindness inspired me help others with their searches.
I want to share a story with you. I have a German genealogist friend, who I consider to be my sister, who helped me trace my German family. She has asked me to trace a family from her village who emigrated to the USA in the mid to late 1800s. While working on the family for her I always check findagrave for memorials.
I have found a few memorials for the family I am researching, and discovered one whose findagrave contributor included one of Mary Grace Perry's ancestor's surname in her bio, which of course, is my ancestor. I emailed the contributor and found that she and I share 7th and 8th great-grandparents. Amazing! I wanted to share this find with you because finding her made me think of you and your kindness.
With Love and Respect,
|M W Bencal||Merry Christmas|
Wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and a Very Healthy and Happy 2016!
I wanted to thank you for updating the information on my second cousin, the late Gloria Jean Coward Rodriguez. She was a long gone relative about whose whereabouts were only recently revealed. Sadly, she lost her life, a mother of a three-year-old daughter, at the age of 23 in an automobile accident in New Orleans, LA. It is good that she is linked to her parents and two older sisters. Rest their souls.

I hope you had a Very Merry Christmas, and that you and yours have a Very Happy and Healthy New Year!
Your Grateful Friend,
|Jim||Evelyn Marie Roe|
Thank you for your time to document my aunt's gravesite in Find-a-grave and linking her to her brother & parents.

Thank you so much for uploading this headstone photo to Find A Grave. Would it be okay with you if I added this photo to my family tree, giving you photo credit, of course?
Thanks for posting the info on Corrie and Dustin Fisher.

I have been trying to reach you for a long time. Are you okay?
|Van Bender||Re: Dianne May|
Hi Janie -
In the next few hours I'll be uploading a couple photos of the mausoleum crypt where Dianne May is currently buried. They're both very different photos. One was taken about a week after Hurricane Katrina and the other was taken earlier today. The marble tablet in front of her crypt was cracked badly during Katrina and had to be discarded. The new table remains without any inscriptions.
While the cemetery has made a good effort in replacing inscriptions of tablets that were damaged during Katrina, a few crypts sorta got lost in the shuffle and remain blank.
If you're interested in getting the inscriptions replaced, call the cemetery at 504-279-6376 and tell them you're a family member and be ready to send them a copy of the photo I'll be posting to Ms. May's Find-A-Grave page. There should be no charge for the replacement (as far as I know).
