Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and grew up just east of there in the small town of Murrysville. Through Army, college, and company transfers, I've retired to East Texas.

I was married to Janet Marie (Vogel) Hartley ,and have three children, Tim, Todd & Kari.

My genealogy interests are (Paternal): Hartley, Headlee(ey), Gass (my stone wall), Fordyce, Lemley, Shriver, Barrickman, Jones, Cunningham and Prickett. (Maternal): Green, Knox, Jackson, Scott (England), Heacox, Barton and Hawley.
I'm willing to take photos for anyone in and around the Tyler, Texas area. I would like to thank those that have taken photos for me. I've "met" some great friends that way.

Please email me with any additions and/or corrections and I'll gladly update.

Please note: Many thanks to Carolina Angel for sponsoring my wife's memorial page.

A very special thank you to my friend Diane Miller for sponsoring my great grandparents, Joseph & Margaret (Scott) Green and Albert Henry Knox. Please visit Diane's family.

RE: George E. Bunnell
You are very welcome. I believe that the circumstances which lead to an interred individual having no marker should not impede them from being as recognized for their life and accomplishments as anyone else, so I do a lot of unmarked individuals' graves. I am pleased that you will so honor Mr. Bunnell. Thank you.

RE: Sackett from Rose Hill in Chicago
You're very welcome. Since they are in your family line, it made sense to me. I too am a Sackett descendant but not from that line :}

Sackett from Rose Hill in Chicago
Since they are your line (and not mine as my Sacketts didn't come to Chicago) I have transferred Arthur and Clara to you for maintaining.

RE: Permotis Ralph Prickett
Not a problem. I found the grave when transcribing a local cemetery and wanted to put the memorial in the hands of someone who would have some connection to it.

RE: Austins
Brad ... yes, I was beginning to wonder. I found out yesterday that I might get a chance to make a Hope Cemetery run. My wife was helping to decorate for a H.S. class reunion at the Corning VFW today. I said that I had something important to do, so first called the two numbers for Audrey Graham to no avail. Then I called the number that you provided, after correcting to Area Code 607. Mrs. Madison turned out to be Nettie, who was the last caretaker.

Nettie said that she didn't have time to talk, but half an hour later I had firm directions to Laura Ann Luke Knox Austin's gravestone, as well as directions to four Staahl family burial locations. I drove right to Laura's gravestone, but would have found her with your simple directions. OTOH, I didn't find any of the ten Staahls I was looking for. Since there isn't a map available to the public, I need to get Audrey Graham to guide me to the Staahls.

Olin,

I'm glad I helped with your research.

The pic is of me sailing a Hunter 25(?) on the the Chesapeake many years ago. I was only a guest - never owned a sailboat.
