******10/13/13---long summer...short one vehicle most of the year so I have not been able to get out much. We have two vehicles again and hoping to get some work done as soon as my leg is healed from stumble i took a couple weeks ago. ****I was born and raised in Kansas City. Married with two daughters. I enjoy reading, writing and watching movies and remodeling our 140 y/o Victorian house in Leavenworth. |
Enjoy this site and will help contribute as I can. Looking for information on Masters/Kahler/Leaf and Johnson in Missouri and Iowa.
I am currently working on Mount Calvary Cemetery in Leavenworth.....once I have finished with the requests there, I will start on Mount Muncie. Please be patient! :)
As I am adding photos, if there is no memorial for them, I will add one as well as the photos...if you discover a loved one that I have added and would like me to transfer the memorial to you, please let me know. As for the photos, if you need them for other projects you are working on for you family tree, feel free to use them.
Please visit my nephew, Ray Jr.
lost him in a tragic rollover accident October 2011. And my Dad
passed on Good Friday, April 6th, 2012. I miss them so much....
I enjoy visiting everyone's friends and relatives and leaving tokens in their memory. I may not leave a note, but be assured, I read each one that I visit. If you have time to visit my family and friends, I thank you in advance.
Have a great day!

"Mary Elizabeth appears here with her son:
1940> Missouri> ED 17-12> Image 1
h> John F Masters, 40y b.MO, G8
..occupation: Laborer/WPA project
mother> Mary E, 73y b.KY, Wd, G8
This is the one I was referring to....is there a photo that goes with this part?"
This simply means Mary appears on the 1940 Census with her son, John.
The "Image 1" refers to the Image number of the Census record.

Sorry, the "images" refer to the Death Certificate and the Widow's Pension Application.

"I noticed on several of the records that you have posted on the memorials for the Masters family that there are descriptions for photos...do these photos exsist and if they do..how can I get to these photos?"
I'd be glad to help if I can. Can you give me a specific example...for instance the memorial number listed at the very bottom on the left side of the page?

|Joyce Nance-Woodcock||RE: Hi|
Good to hear from you but sorry to hear about your leg. Hope you're better.
I've been doing fairly good, haven't been out very much this summer due to my health; thanks for asking. This summer I had a 5' snake scare and several ticks on me with one deer tick bite (all ticks from Sunset!!), guess this hasn't been my year!
Chiefs are doing great but having cabin fever now due to weeks with no home games. Maybe your Royals will do better next year :-)
Take care and let me know if there's anything I can do for you.
Well, you're very welcome. But I can't take all the credit. I must share with Sylvia Whaley, who started the memorials and provided the obits.

|Rita Jean Arnold||Thank You|
So you for your thoughtfulness in visiting and leaving the token for Sgt. David Alan Davis. You are much appreciated~
Hey, Carl! Glad to see that you're back out. I've been doing what I can a little at a time with the help of my husband. Still a Royals' fan? We're waiting for the Chiefs, won't be long now :-)
Thank you so much for your help.
Thank you so much for taking the photo of the tombstone!
