transfer of memorial
I was just adding Glenda Ruth Bowerys memorial when I saw you add just added 1 also. Are you family also? If not, can you please transfer it over to me. She was my husbands great aunt. I want to be able to link Glendas parents & daughters memorial too. Thank you, Julie

RE: Sarah Wyatt and Parents
I should have said Sarah Wyatt Dorsey. Her father was Nicholas Wyatt; her mother Damaris Stockett (see memorial # 63895709 for Sarah).

I clicked on your name on a flowers/comments item. Sarah is your 8th great grandmother. The memorial is not maintained by you, but I thought you might have some information.

She married Edward Dorsey.

Sarah Wyatt and Parents
Hi, my name is Lois Stockett Lannin, and I am researching the Stockett family in England and subsequently in America.

Do you have any information on who Damaris Stockett's parents were?

Was she born in America or England?

Any information you may have would be extremely helpful. This is one of my brick walls.

Garrett Cemetery
Hi Carolyn,
Just got back from Garrett and had no luck. The only Carrell are those of James E. Carrell and wife Mary J., who are buried up closer to front driveway. But no others near them. And then John B.W. and wife Mary Ann Carroll are further back.
As I mentioned before, I've looked all around where John B.W. and Mary Ann Carroll are buried ...but didn't find any other Carroll/Carrell. The great thing is I see that someone has "mended" Mary's broken stone! I will post a new photo of that soon. To the right of their graves is the marker for a Mary Abercrombie, wife of R.A. And these are very close to a large old dogwood tree. There are a few scattered unmarked rocks/stones up near the trunk. To the left of Mary and John Carroll is a very old, roughly carved marker for a Nancy M. Roe, born 1831. I searched on ancestry and found her listed as the wife of Hiram Roe of Chattooga in 1880 Census. But see no connection to your Bakers or Carrolls. And then there are those several unmarked rocks/stones in the next "rows" as you go toward the back right corner of the cemetery. This is near William T. Baker's tall tombstone, as I explained. His may be the only Baker still standing that is identifiable.

Carolyn,

Oops, I didn't put her parents in. I forgot to check on Martha's parents before I transferred it. I'll leave that to you.

Isn't it the greatest feeling when you find your ancestors!!!!

I have found so many from this Findagrave site. It's the best.

Don't hesitate to contact me to transfer more people as you find them.

Carrells
Carolyn,

I'm so pleased to transfer your family members to you. I'm so happy that I took the photographs and you were able to connect them to the Carroll spelling.

Bakers in the Garrett Cem in GA
Hi Carolyn,

You've made memorials for several Bakers in the Garrett Cem (thanks!). I put in requests for photos for Elias & Sarah Baker and for John & Amelia Baker. I received a nice message from a gentleman this morning who has been searching for these headstones and cannot find them. He says there are several natural rocks/stones in an open space near the headstone/s for John Monroe & Eliza Baker. And some near the headstone for William T Baker. He is speculating that maybe these are markers for those old graves. I wonder if you know anything about this. With your help, maybe I can give the photographer better directions for where to look - or tell him to give up :)
Thanks for your help.
