METTER -- Felicia Smith Baggett, 44, died Aug. 11 at home.
The Tattnall County native had been a resident of Candler County the past 21 years. She was owner and operator of Southern Elegance Gifts. She was district director of Miss Georgia Pageant, a pageantry judge of several southern state pageants and board chairman for the Miss Elliotta pageant in Metter. She worked for several years at Bird Drug Company and was a member of Lake Primitive Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Alan Baggett of Metter; a son, Smith Baggett of Metter; a daughter, Tashia McCranie of Statesboro; her parents, Dave and June Smith of Reidsville; two sisters, Marie Smith and Tracy Poling, both of Atlanta; her maternal grandmother, Beatrice Durrence of Reidsville; and two grandchildren.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Monday at Lake Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in Reidsville City Cemetery.

Mary P. Bertolini
MOUNT DORA, Fla. -- Mary Johanna Peters Bertolini, 65, died Aug. 9.
The Savannah native moved to Central Florida in 1998 from Phoenix. She was a teacher in Savannah and Atlanta. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mount Dora and the Women's Club of the Country Club of Mount Dora. She belonged to Women for Hospice, the Alumni of Kappa Alpha Theta and she sang in the choir at St. Francis Xavier, Phoenix.
SURVIVORS: her husband, Frank W. Bertolini of Mount Dora, Fla. ; a son, Paul W. Bertolini of Atlanta and a daughter, Mary E. Carey of Dallas.
MEMORIAL MASS: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Savannah. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.

WRIGHTSVILLE -- Susie Mae Colston Brantley, 92, died Aug. 10 at home.
The lifelong resident of Johnson County was a former teacher. She was a member of Rehobeth Homemakers Club, Oaky Grove Ladies Circle and Oaky Grove Primitive Baptist Church. She was the widow of Riley Brantley Sr.
SURVIVORS: a son, Riley Brantley Jr. of Lyons; three daughters, Angelyn Sims of Fort Valley, Martha Bacon of Statesboro and Judy Washburn of Chatsworth, Calif. ; a sister, Mildred Fortner of Metter; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

C. ; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Lynn Freeman of Hillsborough, N. C. ; a sister, Lena Mae Grey of La Feria, Texas; a brother, Raymond O. Waters of Rome; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Byron K. Glover
DALE, S. C. -- Byron K. Glover, 79, died Aug. 7 at home.
The Freeport, Fla. native was a longtime resident of South Carolina. He served in the Army during World War II. He received a degree in auto mechanics in 1949 from Agricultural and Mechanical College, Orangeburg, S. C. Until retirement in 1979, he was a civil service employee at motor transport, Parris Island. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Naomi Dunbar Glover of Dale; a son, Joe Nathan Glover; a daughter-in-law, Angelet Smalls Glover of Dale; two grandchildren, Nicole Glover-Holmes of Lady's Island, S. C. and Lawrence Glover of Beaufort; six great-grandchildren and other relatives.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.

GLENNVILLE -- Willie D. Grantham, 98, died Aug. 8 at Glenvue Nursing Home.
The Tattnall County native attended Snow Baggs School and was a housekeeper. She was a member of St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she was a stewardess member.
SURVIVORS: two daughters, Velma Johnson of Brunswick and Nita Mae Grantham of Glennville; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

HAMPTON, S. C. -- Glenn Harold Harvey, 84, died Aug. 10.
The Barnwell County native was a retired electrician and farmer. He was the widower of Marjorie Buckner Harvey. He was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church and Hopewell Baptist Church Senior Citizens. He was a member of Everygreen Masonic Lodge No. 153.
SURVIVORS: three sons, Irvin Montrose Harvey of Valley Lee, Md., and Joe Glenn Harvey and Harold Buckner Harvey, both of Hampton; a brother, James Irvin Harvey of Greenwood, Miss. ; four sisters, Muriel Ethel Jacobson and Dorothy Louise Mitchum, both of Hampton, Mary Lowell Kloczkowski of Estill, S. C. and Marjorie Shell of Waterboro, S. C. ; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Marrion S. Mitcham
LUDOWICI -- Marrion S. Mitcham, 83, died Aug. 10 at Liberty Regional Medical Center, Hinesville.
The Laurens County native was a longtime resident of Ludowici. She was past worthy matron of Eastern Star and member of Altamaha Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a retired teacher and member of Delta Kappa Gamma. As a member of First Baptist Church, she had served as trustee and as a Sunday school teacher. President of Long County Library Board for 30 years, she also served on the Regional Library Board.
SURVIVORS: three daughters and their husbands, Nancy and John Rogers of Walthourville, Claira Mitcham and Randy Waters of Ludowici and Marrion E. Mitcham and Michael Martin of Claxton; two sisters, Danette S. Chapman of Jesup and Mavis S. Drawdy of Saxis Isle, Va. ; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Middleton Memorial Cemetery.

Isaac N. Moye
Isaac Newt Moye, 92, died Aug. 10 at Azalealand Nursing Home.
The Rockledge native had been a farmer and worked in the cotton mills in Columbus before moving to Savannah in 1941 to work in the shipyards as a pipe-fitter and welder instructor. After World War II, he owned Whimpy's Sandwich Shop.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannetta Moye and James W. Hay of Ellabell; a son and daughter-in-law, Wallace Dorough and Ann Moye of Savannah; eight grandchildren, Andy Hay, Larry Hay, Susan Hay, Kevin Hay, Becky Hay, Melody Moye, Wallace Moye and Melissa Metzger; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

TOWNSEND -- William "Billy" Poppell, 66, died Aug. 10 at home.
He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a Baptist.

The Bulloch County native was a longtime resident of Macon. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Mable White Baptist Church.

Hugh E. Quinney
Hugh Eugene Quinney, 74, died Aug. 10 at Hospice Savannah.
The Savannah native graduated from the school of music at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1971. He served First Baptist Church of Garden City as minister of music and youth and as minister of music and senior adults. After retirement in 1997, he was interim music director at North Salem Baptist Church for two years. He worked for Virginia-Carolina Chemical Company and Mobil Chemical Company from 1946-1969, concluding with five years as a plant manager in Remington, Indiana. He was clerk of Savannah Baptist Association for 25 years, and past master of Frank F. Baker Masonic Lodge No. 46. He was a former member and secretary of Salvation Army Advisory Board. He served in the Navy during World War II.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Martha Dixon Quinney of Garden City; a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Dave Rasmussen of Garden City; a sister, Audry B. Fischetti of Spring Hill, Fla. ; three granddaughters, Amy Gibson of Dallas, Emily Henke of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. and Claire Osborn of St. Charles, Ill. ; two step-grandsons, Dan Rasmussen of Damascus, Md. and Jim Rasmussen of Stockbridge; three great-grandchildren; four nieces and four nephews.
VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Massey Chapel.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Garden City. Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
