I have been working on my family history for 25 years. All of my ancestors are of German descent. The majority settled in Saginaw, Sebewaing and Scio Township, Michigan, even though there are family members scattered throughout the world. Genealogy is a never ending journey. That's what makes it so exciting! IT'S ALL IN THE JOURNEY!
RE: Photos You are welcome. I have a question. I have three other Hofmeisters (Robert, Franklin and Joan) that do not have memorials. Are you looking for them? And nestled between a couple of Hofmeisters was Lorna R Smith. She doesn't have a memorial either. I believe they were all in Northlawn (Huron County). Those cemeteries seem to run together. If you are interested in them, please let me know and I will send you their dates. Thanks.
19202219 Norma I was so excited to find a photo of Mary Ann Fuerst Willy. I am researching the August Willy and Wilhelmina Marquardt family also. My sister in law is a descendant of Conrad J. Willy and Ester Ann Kuhne. You have helped fill in a lot of blanks. Thank you so much for all your work. Patricia Tierney Alessandri
Karla Louise Schairer Hi, I called the Ft. Bliss Cemetery and was told the records show that Karla is definitely buried there in the same plot as her mother, Margaret. So the reverse side of Margaret's headstone was engraved to add Karla's name and info. Go to the site and check it out. One of the people in the office were kind enough to take the pictures of the revised headstones. So I had added them to Karla's Find A Grave memorial site. If you have any question about the headstones or the information, please call the Ft. bliss National Cemetery. They are very helpful.
Karla Schairer Hi, I went out yesterday to get a photograph of Karla's headstone. The internet VA site has her listed as buried in section A 58A. On the headstone for A 58 it just has the info for Karl with the reverse side blank. On the headstone A 58A it has Margaret's information with the reverse side of the headstone also blank. I checked many surrounding headstones and did not find Karla. Tomorrow I will call the cemetery and ask about this since the Internet VA site has her as buried there yet her info is not on the headstone.
Barbara Lee Schairer Turkaly Your listing for Barbara Lee Schairer Turkaly (154284785) maybe in a different cemetery, I see that even though the obit says Forest Lawn in Ann Arbor. Her parents are buried in Forest Hill in Ann Arbor. I have located other Schairer family in Forest Lawn Inn Dexter, but not this person.
RE: Johann Bernhard In regards to Johann Bernhard Titz, it's stated that there is a hotel, restaurant & bar where they were lived. Have you been there? Do you have any info on it? A friend of mine is helping me and he thinks that this is it, since it still stands today, but we aren't 100% sure. https://www.google.com/maps/place/St%C4%99plewska+Gra%C5%BCyna.+Agroturystykafirstname.lastname@example.org,15.6632297,16z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x691156bd7e2f4849
