Hi Meredith! You have certainly done a lot of work on the Lewis family. Do you know if, and how Marah "Major" Lewis is related to another Lewis who is interred in the same Lewis Family Cemetery? Namely, Rachel Margret Lewis born about 1880. I would like to connect her to parents, if possible, or mention family members. Information about the early of Gibson is interesting but not well documented. Thank you in advance, Anneg

Just wanted to let you know why I declined to add Jr. for Augustus: It isn't on his tombstone, nor on any records I've found. Even though his name is the same as his father's, the designation of Sr. / Jr. can change as generations change and isn't always part of the legal name. If you have other data that suggests otherwise in this case, please feel free to let me know. Thanks.

I will be delighted to add the portrait of Elizabeth Alston and her mother to Elizabeth's Memorial Page. It was contributed by a descendant, Cotten Alston.
Are you related to the A. H. Alston family?
If so , I would like to correspond with you.
Warm regards, Eugenia

I wonder if this person is in your tree and if you research his family? I have information about his birth mother if he was born in 1842 instead of 1850. She died probably in childbirth but her father named Wm H and his father John G Hortman in his 1844 will. He was Zachariah Holleman and his daughter was Elizabeth Holleman Hortman. Are you interested or is this not your Wm H Hortman? Thank you, Denise

Ms. trawick, greetings, the memorial in which you manage, #30928586 for John Jabez Harrison born 1869, show he was the son of Rev. Bill Augustus Harrison and Demeris Holmes Harrison. Bill and Demeris did have a second son named John M. Harrison born in 1873 who married a Roxie Brown and they are buried in Wheeler county ga. in the beulah baptist church cemetery. In 1870, William and Demeris are living with williams parents as newlyweds with no children. In 1880, John is the second son, born in 1873 at 7yrs. old. I have John M. Harrison's d.c. which clearly reflects his parentage as stated by his son vivian. John Jabez Harrison seems to have been the son of a William H. Harrison. I have requested the links be made and I do hope you will adjust your John Jabez memorial links accordingly, thank you, C. Harrison

|Bob Carter||Dean family of Anderson County, SC|
You seem to have a lot on the DEAN family in Anderson County, SC and was wondering if you are related? I have a friend in Greensboro, NC who is a descendant and he has very little information on his ancestral lines.
|N. Duke||RE: Henry W. Hester|
Thank you for your quick response and suggestion.
Unfortunately, I do not know Henry's first wife's maiden name.......I wish we could run across something that mentions it!
Again, thank you for your help with posting cemeteries, graves, etc.
Nan H. Duke
