My name is Susan and I have been researching my family history for 12 plus years. I have hit and stalled at several brick walls. It's a never ending labor of love. A few months ago I decided to become a part of the FindAGrave community. At that time I created memorials for my family memorials. (still a work in progress) |
Currently I have moved forward from managing my families memorials that I'm able to create to contributing my first round of non-related memorials. I went out to visit my parents and got my start there. I have started to create memorials for all images I have taken (if there isn't one online yet).
Memorial transfer policy - I adhere to FindAGrave rules IF the memorials belong to family in my line. So if your related closer than I and you absolutely want to manage the memorial. I will transfer according to FindAGrave.
If I'm related in no way. I will transfer in most all situations to any family member. I would rather have family with family.
Please DO NOT STEAL my images.

I haven't been to a reunion in decades. I started researching our genealogy after being told that we had Cherokee in our ancestry.

Have you seen Minnesota's tombstone? She is my great-great grandmother. Her son Wilford Roscoe Goff was my great grandfather, and it was at his place where we had family reunions.

In searching for info on my grandfather, I saw your name as having taken & posting a picture at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD on a memorial page for my grandmother, Margaret Rebecca Jenkins. The gravestone picture looks very much like pictures I have taken myself when I've visited. May I ask your connection to the family, please? Thank you.

this memorial was duplicated (127193462), the creator was advised and has chosen to leave the duplicate. It seems to be more important for her to maintain his memorial, than it is to me- PLEASE SEND EDIT REQUESTS TO THAT MEMORIAL!! It will look awful if both have the same familial connections. I also photographed the cemetery where the duplicate is located and he does not have a marker there, I confirmed his burial with the IOOF cemetery.

You mentioned in your profile message not to delete photos you have added on transferred memorials.
The only person that can delete your photos is you or one of the webmaster's helpers and for a good reason. A transferred memorial with one of your photos can't be deleted without permission from the webmaster too.

Just noticed you are a new member of Find A Grave and want to welcome you.
There are guidelines on the left of any memorial under the link "Help with Find A Grave". Be familiar with them. All memorials should have a gravesite or at least know what happened to the body. Check carefully to make sure you are duplicating another member's memorial. The website main purpose is to registration gravesites.

No, I didn't know your Grandfather. Just randomly post the pink rose with the lyrics "In The Garden". Some people believe that there is a Master Planner and nothing happens randomly. Amen.
That hymn was sung at my mother's funeral too.
