If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Hope this finds you well. It has been awhile since I corresponded with you. I don't have your email on this computer so sending you a message this way :)
I finally got back on ancestry and went to the find a grave link tonight. for the memorial listed above, Mary Elizabeth was a Hoon not a Hook. some of those old papers are so hard to read. She is my gr gr grandmother. I have seen it spelled Hoone but mostly just Hoon.
Thanks for all the work you do on here. Hope to meet you sometime when you are in the area. I am hoping to get one of the grandchildren hooked on this but so far, no luck .....

Good morning! Your most welcome! We find it to be quite interesting and wished we had started doing this earlier. It's a nice feeling to know you are helping people. It just takes a little time and effort. It's also gets us off the couch! Bill, AKA THE PHANTOM OF THE RUHR
|sherry lynn winters||Hi Michael~|
You are so welcome (re: Samuel and Joseph Stiles). It was a request filled by someone who lives in Anchorage... for someone in NJ.... of someone in PA! How cool is that? :0) (I live in AK, but make it down to central PA where my mom & her ancestors are all from as often as I can) ~ I looked all over for Nancy Stiles, but couldn't locate a headstone for her. There is a space in-between Samuel & Joseph that really looked like it was a plot, but had no headstone... I took photo of what it looked like and can send it to you if you'd ever like? Take care! ~Sherry~ firstname.lastname@example.org

Thank you so much for the service you provide for those of us too far away to conduct the search ourselves.
My name is Mary Lou (Bennett) Smith & I'm in the process of applying for DAR approval.
As you probably know, they do not recognize Find-A-Grave information & I've been unable to document Susan Bennett's death.
Her tombstone from 1893 has deteriorated behind reading....again thanks to the provided photo.
Even though the stone is illegible, is there a source you could recommend where I can confirm the death of Susan Bennett Taylor?
A letter sent to the cemetery was returned for lack of a sufficient address.
I'd so sincerely appreciate any contact you may suggest.
