If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

Re: your photo request. There is no stone, but his lot is where the monument is. I added that picture for you.

Most people do not have time to chit chat. Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave. I am thankful for people such as your self so that we can find our loved ones. I do research in S. Indiana so if you have any needs in this neck of the woods - just let me know. Thanks!

Hey MSC, You're welcome for the photo...always glad to help! All is well in Ligonier, except that it's cold this morning. Hope all is well is Jersey! Barbara

No problem. I either linked, or requested to have links established for all of the children of John & Cadilla Lear. There's a daughter at Richland Cemetery and one in Berlin, and Eugene is in Altoona.

I am looking for a great grandfather who was buried in Zimmerman Cemetery in 1910. There are no records at the cemetery for him but I noticed he had the same undertaker that your relative did - J.D. Schaub, Knoxville, Pa. Do you have any information on this undertaker or how to get to his records?

Thank you so much for the picture of my ancestor's headstone.

Michael, I want to thank you for putting info on Find A Grave and for helping so many people. I was looking at the marriage record of Lloyd George ALBRIGHT and Amanda KYLER and decided to look at Find A Grave for his death date. In doing so, I noticed you included the marriage application info, which differs from what I had just read on the marriage application. The Find A Grave site shows Lloyd to have been age 22 but the application clearly shows age 19 with Amanda being age 21. In fact under Consent of parents it shows "see paper filed" indicating one of them was under age. Please continue your volunteer efforts, as they help so many, many people. Hoping you will correct this error, Sally Seaman.

You're welcome. I also added photos of the headstones for his wife, two adult daughters and two infant sons, Harry & Willie.
