I've been working on my family tree for a few years now. My family tree includes the surnames Corbett (Corbet, FitzCorbet), Leichliter, Barcus (Barchus), Rhoades, Taliaferro, Tolliver (Toliver), McHaffie, Spittler and Secrest to name a few. Most of my family came from Pennsylvania and Virginia.|
So far during my research I found on my mother's side of the family we are related to President George Washington, President James Madison, General Robert E Lee, and Thomas Green Clemson - the driving force and namesake of Clemson University. All of these relationships are by marriage but of course those count as well.
**FYI** I gladly will correct any information that I have if it is listed incorrectly. I try and research maiden names and middle names if I can but the information on the web is not always accurate. I also try to connect as many family members as I can, it just makes it easier for the next person's
research. A simple please and/or thank you with your request is enough. Thank you!

Sara, I am researching the Descendants of Elder Thomas Dymoke of Barnstable. Archie is one of those descendants. Family reseach actuall has him born with the name Arthur Carlton Dimock. As the memorial you have has a middle name of Charles I was wondering if the cemetery records where written that way. Archie is the name that he was known by and rarely if even referred to as Arthur. Can you assist or do you know how to reach the cemetry office? Regards, John

The date of birth in the Ottumwa Cemetery book is wrong. Her stone gives a different birth year. Can you please correct this one? Thanks~~

Unfortunately, it isn't my relative if the obit is correct. My Edward Murray married Nancy Ann Jones in 1886 and had three children.
I don't know much about my Edward. His parents were born in Ireland and they were Michael Murray and Mary O'Donnell. He was either born in Ireland or Ohio, I think. His is a name that is hard to track down. I can't even find the three kids: Mary Tressie, Willis Fenton and Fieldon Edward.
I just keep hunting!! After all.... isn't that what we love? Hunting and then finding!!!!
Thank you for your efforts.

Sara... Thank you sooooo much for getting a picture of Edward's headstone. Do you know if Ottumwa Cemetery has any records on him? That tell anything about his death or his relatives? From the things that I have documented, there are a few discrepancies and I am wondering if this is "my" Edward William Murray.
I haven't dug into it yet.... but I will. I wonder if there is an obituary for him in the Ottumwa area. hmmmmmm
Thanks again for the picture and all that you do on Find-A-Grave. I certainly appreciate it!!!! Great picture!
