RE: Dalton Boswell preneed
I went to the Help Section and reread the guideline. I did not realize that it said that about being before 1931. I've read everything in the guidelines. I wonder if I didn't remember it correctly or if they've changed them. As you can see, I've been a member longer than you. I remember when I was surveying a very large cemetery and came across memorials with no date of death. I looked at the guidelines, and as a result, did not add those that would be under 100 years old. So I think they've changed them at some time. I want to apologize for bothering you now that I realize I was completely wrong. I should have simply contact the other person with the duplicate. Thanks for teaching an old dog a new trick. I hope you will accept my apology and that there are no hard feelings. Have a blessed day!

RE: Dalton F. Boswell
"Pre-need" memorials are against guidelines, we agree on that. So why does it make a difference that it's been transferred? There are plenty of memorials out there without a death date and a possibility that they're still alive. Imagine finding your own memorial on Find A Grave. Imagine one of your parents dying, and you find their memorial was created 2 years earlier. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be happy. There should be a consequence to breaking guidelines. When I contact Find A Grave on these kinds of memorials, they usually merge and delete the pre-need. But thank you for taking care of the duplicate. Duplicates are a bigger problem on Find A Grave. Two memorials for the same person are created, then they get linked to the same parents, etc.

This was my dads (Joey Coker) sibling. I would love to take over responsibility for it. I am trying to find all of my relatives that have passed.
Thank you so much for having this photo.

RE: Annita Floyd Lovett - Spears Creek
I'm sorry. I jumped to a conclusion when I saw that she had two memorials and one had a photo of the marker. I just sent an email to the creator of the memorial at Spears Creek to let her know that there are markers at each cemetery. I've started checking other memorials before going to cemeteries because I've had a couple of experiences where I search an entire cemetery unsuccessfully and then later find that the person was buried elsewhere.

RE: Frances Compton #132534179
Thanks very much Don. I will continue to hope that it is C.R. standing for Chalres R. Compton. Too, I hope there is a headstone for Francis/Francs Compton. Since Charles R. passed away about 42 years before Francis, I doubt there is a headstone for him.
Thanks again,
Alice
