Howdy Find A Grave folks, for those who are as hooked as I am. I enjoy this site so much. I started doing my first genealogy since my grandmother died in Jan 2001. I grew up with my late grandfather and my mother did doing their genealogy on their own. So this is my new hobby. I have rarely added memorials for several family members. This helps with genealogist, who does research, that can be related to anyone else. Thanks Find A Grave for creating this wonderful site.
RE: # 83985798 - James Moreland Thanks so much!! Since leaving the message, I forwarded the picture to my mom and she said it was his HS grad picture. Thanks again for such kind words & remembering my brother. 1 month from now will be 25 years - the same age Jimmy was when he passed. If you are able to, I would love to see the other pics you have of him. You can email me directly: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for the link. It appears Harlin came from a different line than me. I've found that many Coombs' who originated in England settled in the Kentucky area and spread from there ... seems to be Harlin's line. My side, we discovered a few years ago, came from France and settled in Maine. They Anglicized the name Comeau into Coombs in the late 1600's. This was confirmed by a DNA test sponsored by a cousin of mine.
Of interest you may want to look at Find A Grave Memorial# 65452064 . It shows the parents of John Coombs (1735-1801) where the tree you linked left off.
Williams Ancestors I am descended from John Williams the brother of Otho Williams of Franklin Parish,LA near Liddleville,LA. This information is compiled from census records. Would like to share information with you. You have information from C.W. Williams who is related to me through my mother who was a Williams.
Otho Williams Otho is the son of William Williams born in 1788 in Maryland. This connection is established through DNA and census records. William was the son of Thomas Williams who was born about 1725-1735 in New York or New Jersey and died in 1816 Hampshire Co. Virginia. Barbara Merle Baldwin Beene Sitton Jones # 102825468 Her last name on marker is BEENE. She was buried with the Beene spouse. She cannot be found in a general search as currently listed because one does not know which name to look under: Sitton, Beene, or Jones. Per Find A Grave rules names are to be entered as seen on the markers. All else (with explanations) go into the bio area. Could you please correct her entry? Thank you!
Lewis Lloyd Temple (25 Dec 1885 - 16 Dec 1962) Photographs Lewis Lloyd Temple married my 5th cousin, once removed; Emma Obedience "Bea" Landrum (16 Aug 1849 - 23 Mar 1960). Members of my family, including this writer, have railroad experience. It was not surprising to add yet another entry for Mr. Temple. The photograph of Mr. Temple in alongside what is most probably a Southern Pacific Railroad engine was a surprise in that very few examples have come along during the endeavor to document the families that make up our heritage. We are not professional genealogists & respectfully request permission to add the photographs uncovered to our family history with the usual credit for ownership. You may overview our tree titled the "Morrison Enigma" on Ancestry.com for examples of our efforts. Best Regards, Larry & Carole Hoffman Morrison of Maumelle, Arkansas
