Thank you for your interest in this memorial. However, the date of death was Jan. 6th, as is inscribed on the stone, not Jan. 5th. Other sources confirm that date.

He did donate his remains to St. Louis University Medical School. When the school is finished, they bury the cremains in an area marked by a single stone. I have updated his memorial and added his obituary.

That is possible....it just means he is listed in records for both cemeteries. Guess only way to know for sure is with an obit or marker photo.

There is a stone in the John's cemetery for Leo John's maybe his body was reburied there later.

Hello, I received your message and I looked his name up on the National Graveside Locator and W D Shoup is listed as buried there so I made the correction. His widow, Nancy Shoup, I will leave as being buried at Stout's Grove cemetery since I have a photo of her grave I received from a relative.
