I'm my family's genealogist, and an amateur Civil War buff (totally irrelevant). Dead people are fascinating! They are often more interesting than live ones.
When I have the honor of managing a memorial, I work to build a bio so that when someone reads it, s/he comes away with an idea of what that person's life was like. Each of us is so much more than birth and death dates. That being said, I'm so grateful for the contributors who have done the hard work, getting out into the cemeteries, recording the names & dates & snapping gravestone photos of people they don't even know. These people may otherwise remain unrecorded, and forgotten. That's not right, even if you ARE dead. But that's just how I roll, yep.
Thanx to those of you who leave flowers for my Mom, Marilyn Wright Mader, Dad, LTC. Gene Mader, my baby sister, Lisa Mader Putnam, and the love of my life, Ronald Richard Kropczynski.
It has become very important to me to build memorials for our Veterans~~the women and men who have fought and sacrificed for this great Republic. I encourage contributors to add the person's military service whenever possible! The courageous dead deserve to be honored and remembered. Mitch Mader | |

 | RE: Thank You! You're welcome. I live about 2 minutes from the cemetery and I know a few people who work at Pine Valley. Maybe I can find out a little more about the burial grounds for you. Cindy | | | Kelly

 | RE: SS Walter Meader You're very welcome, and thank you! I will continue to see what I can find from this end. I have listings for most local cemeteries, and it's possible that I can find him that way. Stay in touch. Elaine | | | Elaine (Selwood) Inkster
 | SS Walter Meader I will attempt to get a photo of this gravesite and stone, but it will take some searching, since there is no Church St. in Eastport, Maine, and the St. Ann's Church is in Pleasant Point, Perry, Maine or Calais Maine, which is St. Anne's. Neither church has a cemetery. As you can see, it will be a bit of a challenge. Elaine | | | LN
 | Anthony Maeder correction Hi,
There was no additional information on the correction you sent. I got your first paragraph and then nothing.

 | Harry Gatchell Ooops. It was Harry's uncle Harry Gatchell who was married to Emily and whose memorial I was pondering. The nephew Harry was married to Esther. I have not been able to as yet determine her maiden name. Typically when there are deaths in the Cleveland area, I can find obituaries but I haven't been successful for Harry & Esther.
