Thank you for taking this! When we came down for the funeral the gravestone was removed to bury remains. This is my daughter's great aunt.

I'm 0 for 2!
I had the right memorial when I was gathering information on the siblings, but went to the wrong one when I went back to get the number to make the link. Thanks for catching that.
Please let me know if you find any other goofs!
|Lynn Marie Vint||Part 2|
Hi again Jane,
Read my other note first, but I've got some answers!
Ella is living with Rosa's parents on the 1910 census. She's listed as a granddaughter, and the name is Ella O. Robinson. That must mean she was Rosa's daughter from a previous relationship.
Ella is still with the grandparents in 1920, but the name is listed as Ellen O. Springman at that time.
Ella is married by the 1930 census, so she's Ella Hardy.
Also looks like Rosemary Kirchner might be dead after all. The SSDI has a Rosemary M. Taylor, born 19 Jun 1931, who died 01 Oct 2009. I didn't have any luck finding an obit for her, and she's not on Find A Grave, so I couldn't confirm that it's her.
Hope this helps explain things about Ella. Why is it that every answer brings up a dozen new questions??

You are definitely right about the parents. I don't know how I messed up that one.
I did some work on Henry's siblings and found them all, except Rosemary. I'm thinking she must still be alive. I made links to the others on Henry's memorial.
I went back to the obit for Henry. They definitely had a sister named Della Hardy listed. However, further investigation showed that she was actually Ella Hardy. I can't imagine why she was missing on census records.
The following is a transcript of her obit from the Alton Telegraph (page B-7; 01 Nov 1977):
JERSEYVILLE--Ella Opel Hardy, 70, of 302 Lincoln, died at 10:05 a.m. Monday in Jersey Community Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, Frank J. Hardy; two sons, Frank J. Jr. of Fidelity and William Charles of Brighton; six daughters, Marie Forsythe of Bunker Hill, Shirley Meyers of Shipman, Myrtle Gentry and Edna Gardner, both of Brighton, and Roberta Stone and Linda Buck, both of Jerseyville; 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers, Lester, William, Earl and Paul Kirchner, and two sisters, Thelma Weller and Rosemary Taylor.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home, Jerseyville, where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dorcia Hill officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Jerseyville.
No parents listed, but it sure is an exact match for the siblings.
Is there any chance that Elmer Kirchner was married before Rosa? Sometimes obituary writers get careless about differentiating between siblings and half-siblings.
Thanks for your help and sorry about the parent error. Let me know if you ever catch anything else in any of my memorials that needs to be fixed! I'm always happy to take care of correcting things.

Well, I wouldn't have been locked out long if I'd not been such a dufus. Ha! I let my i-phone (Siri) call AAA for me. Siri called the insurance department, not the roadside assistance. Got an answering machine and after 45 minutes of no call back, I got the RIGHT number. The fellow was there in 10 minutes! Of course, in the meantime, I was shooting photos... ;)
