I enjoy taking photos for Find A Grave. My interest started while researching my own ancestors. As I took photos of their stones I also took photos of those around them, especially the older ones before they are no longer readable. I hope someone else's journey into their past is a little easier because of the photos I have taken. I enjoy it very much when someone has found a family member's entry in Find A Grave that I created. |
I will gladly transfer memorials to direct family members upon request.

Thank you for leaving a remembrance token for my 3 sisters.

Please note that the grave and photo you created for Roy Stewart Harter in June 2013 [Find A Grave Memorial# 112418675] is a duplicate to the one I created [Memorial# 75625909] and posted on August 28, 2011. The Mennonite Meeting House Cemetery is the original cemetery and Grace Church Cemetery adjoins the nearby Mennonite Meeting House Cemetery. I would appreciate if you will remove the one you created as I am maintaining the Memorial for Roy Stewart Harter at the Mennonite Meeting House Cemetery Find-A-Grave. Thanks.

No worries. My wife has started creating memorials with photos of non family also. We're new at this and having fun with it. I've fulfilled 7 requests so far and we're planning another trip to a cemetery in a couple weeks. Thanks for your work. By the way, my last name is Hoffmann and people are always leaving the second "n" off!

I'm going to share what I know of Olga's story with you. Michael and Sadie Pitsch immigrated to America from Germany/Austria/Hungary (still trying to pin that down). He came first, of course, and then Sadie and the children. They had at least six children and no one in the currently living family knew about two, Olga and Frirehold. I don't know yet how Olga died and I don't know what happened to Frirehold or when he passed, I'm assuming before 1906 when Penn started indexing deaths. They were both on the ship's passenger list and then disappeared completely. I feel like my research has brought her back, I find it depressing that someone can be forgotten by time. Because of you we now know where she's buried and I thank you greatly for that. Next time you walk by her, tell her that her family says Hello.

Hello Lavendar, I called the cemetery Olga is in and verified that there are no other Pitsches buried there. I didn't want you to waste time looking when I already know. Thanks again! Michelle
