|Bio and Links|
Hello. I am in Michigan. I am not related to 99.999% of my entries, but have added them with the hope that other researchers who have come to a dead end may be helped. With respect to those entries, I have no other information available as I have tried to include as much info as I have.|
PROCEDURES FOR LINKS, ADDING OR CHANGING INFO, TRANSFERS:
Please do not be offended, but for a number of reasons, including the volume of requests, I transfer memorials in accordance with Find A Grave's published guidelines. If you request a transfer, please be sure to include your relationship to the person who is the subject of the memorial. I cannot respond to transfer requests for all memorials with the same surname in a cemetery or to requests for a large number of memorials with the same surname.
If there are entries which need to be linked, please send the info to me via the correction/EDIT option or Suggest a Change (SAC) in the upper right corner and I will add the links. Also, if you would like me to add information to a memorial, please forward the relevant info via the SAC option for the quickest response.
If there is information in a memorial concerning a living person which you would like removed, please send me a request via the SAC option.
PLEASE DO NOT send transfer requests, relationship links or additional information for memorials via the public messages option. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB LOCATED IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE MEMORIAL.
OBITUARIES: Find A Grave has updated its policy concerning the use of obituaries in memorials (See: "Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?" under the Frequently Asked Questions section). If you send a request asking that an obituary be added, please be sure to confirm in your message that you have complied with the policy or I will not be able to add it.
Many thanks for the kind notes, thank yous, flowers and tokens which are left on the memorials. It is rewarding to know that my work has helped someone.

Hey again Twist. I saw you've done some work at White Chapel Cemetery. I have a LOT of family there and I am taking a trip there, soon as the snow melts. Would you be interested in making it a joint trip, since there are so many requests for this cemetery?
I am the owner of myrootsplace.com and I also am in Michigan. I do some find a grave contributing as well. Love them Cemeteries. I really appreciate the work you do, more than you know. I would love for you to volunteer for our site, however you have your hands full :) Again, just saying thanks! Contact me if you're interested though.

I was wondering if you could add the parents to Memorial number 36875389 please, her parents are father is 126262463 and her mother is 126263271. Thank you so much.
You added a lot of info for my mom. I appreciate it.

Thank you for your reply to my Find-A-Grave.com message.
The death date is valid for this Reuben Queen, per the War Document for Interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
However, the other information is questionable, in my opinion. From what I have found in researching the 77 year old Reuben Queen from Williamson Conty, Texas, an actual death record and burial record have not been found, so it is possible, although not probable, that the Reuben Queen on this memorial page is the Reuben Queen from Williamson County, Texas.
I going to guess the other vital infomation was provided by descendants/other researchers wanting this to be the Reuben Queen from Williamson County, Texas. His age and residence in 1860 seem to make it not likely that this memorial page is for him.
Could you please make a note in his Bio stating the other vital information was provided by others and may not be accurate for the Reuben Queen actually buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
I, and many others, would be happy to know who this Reuben Queen really was.
Thank you for your consideration.

I was interrupted and my correction is wrong.
Maurice Bartelle "Maury" Allen I believe was born in Lansing, Michigan. His father, Maurice B. Allen was born in Delta Township, Eaton County, Michigan [wife Marguerite R. Stahl]. Maurice B. Allen's father is Hiram Bradford Allen (or Bradford Hiram Allen)[wife Lena P. Porter]. Hiram Bradford Allen (or Bradford Hiram Allen)'s father is C. W. Allen (wife Emma Sant). I hope this helps, rather than confuses. Sorry for the mistake!!!
|Ruth Jaynes||Robert Bradford Allen's Parents|
Thanks you for all the work you do. It's people like you who help many find their ancestors.
I wanted to let you know that I believe that you have the wrong parents for Robert Bradford Allen, buried in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Southfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan.
I recently pulled his obituary out of the Pontiac Press and his parents are listed as Mr. and Mrs. Maurice B. (Bartelle) Allen. Maurice Bartelle "Maury" Allen was born March 20,1926 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan and died November 1, 2008 in Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan. The funeral was November 8, 2008, but I don't know where (or if) he was buried. His wife is still living, so I don't think it would be a good idea at this time to disclose her name.
Maury's parents are Maurice B. Allen, born May 18 1898 in Delta Township, Eaton County, Michigan, died October 1963 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan. I do not know the date and place of burial. His mother was Marguerite R. Stahl, born May 2, 1898 in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan, died October 3, 1989 in Bloomfield, Oakland County, Michigan. I also don't know the date and place of burial.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks for all you do.

I have a couple of corrections and additions. Maurice Bartelle "Maury" Allen was born in Delta Township, Eaton County, Michigan; not Lansing, as I mentioned previously.
His ("Maury's") father was Hiram Bradford Allen (or Bradford Hiram Allen), born 1868 in New York, and his mother was Lena P. Porter, born 1873 in Michigan.
Hiram Bradford Allen (or Bradford Hiram Allen)parents were C. W. Allen and Emma Sant.
Hope this helps.

What is your source for the birth and death dates and places for this Reuben Queen???
By the dates and places entered, this Reuben Queen was 77 years old at the time of his death.
He is believed to have died in Lampasas County, Texas (deep central Texas) and was very
likely buried in Queen Cemetery in Weir, Williamson, Texas where some of his children are
buried or in another cemetery near some of his other children.
On March 13, 2010, Teresa Cook Keel posted a flower on his memorial page, offering some
information about this Reuben Queen. The Reuben Queen who was born in 1786 and died in Lampasas
County was not from Bedford County, Tennessee as evidenced by the census records below. At the time of the Civil War, he was firmly established in Texas, raising his family and farming.
In 1830, he was in Carroll County, Tennessee.
In 1840, he was in Prairie Township, Carroll, Arkansas.
In 1850, he was in Williamson County, Texas, age 64, a farmer, born in North Carolina.
In 1860, he was in Lampasas County, Texas, age 74, a farmer, born in North Carolina.
I seriously doubt this 77 year old man left Texas, went to Arkansas, enlisted in the Arkansas
Calvary and died in the Civil War.
Other researchers suggest this Reuben Queen was:
1. Born in Bedford County, Tennessee, per his enlistment papers.
2. Born in Indiana and was from Rock Creek, Carroll, Indiana, age 27 in 1860.
Please correct me if my analysis is wrong. It would be nice to correct the record and show
this Reuben Queen to be another.
Thanks for all you do on Find-A-Grave.com. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

I love that you take the time to add information to the people you add! Some people on FG just add people to add people but you take the time to add what info you can.
Please know all your effort is much appreciated!
