RE: Jane Laughlin McFerren
Vonnie, Thanks again for your quick response. My line ends with John McFerren born about 1785 in PA. I cannot find his parents. He married Clarissa Marsh in 1816 in Christ Church in Philadelphia and had several children of which I descend from his son Charles. Another interesting fact is that my brother's DNA shows we are actually McMurtry and not McFerren. Apparently, six to seven generations ago a "non-paternal event" occurred. Whether this happened in PA or Ireland, I am not sure.

Thanks again for all your work.

Jane Laughlin McFerren
Memorial #142719613. Jane Dunkin Laughlin was born June 17, 1763 according to the Sons of the Revolution. She died in 1813 according to her husband's last letter to his grandson. I don't have a source for her middle name but her mother's last name was Dunkin.

William McFerrin
Hi Vonnie,

Thank you for your reply. I have a letter from William to his grandson a few days before is death. The letter is dated Sept. 19, 1845. I also have "Some Tennessee Heroes of the Revolution Record" pg.139, Compiled from Pension Statements, Five Parts In One Volume, Fifth Pamphlet, by Zella Armstrong showing his death date as 1845.
Your work on findagrave is invaluable! Please keep it up!
My last name is McFerren but I have not conclusively found the link to William so if others have requested the memorial please transfer it to them.
Thank you again for all your work!

William McFerrin
# 142718048 You have listed as his birth date as Nov. 26, 1757. In the pension papers you have listed it states he was born in 1755 in York County, PA. There are many William McFerrins but the one that belongs to the Kings Mountain Battle was born in 1755 in York County and died in Tennessee in 1845.

If this is not your family, I would love a transfer.

Thank you.

Donna Jo Ready
Vonnie,
you have put in a request to add a father, Joseph Clarence White to the memorial for Donna Jo Ready in Hillcrest Cemetery, Augusta, GA. The memorial for her lists two brothers whose last names are Stephens. Are you sure you have the right person? Just want to double check before I approve the correction.
Thanks
Lexie

RE: Alexander Aiken
I'm excited too cousin! Vonnie. Do you have FB {facebook?} I have an Aikens' Revolution Page, where we have some cousins residing together, in an attempt to get them all sorted :) Running since Feb 2015!

Thank you so much for bringing this possible exciting connection to my attention. I will plan a trip this summer to the DAR library to be sure that the individual honored is indeed my ancestor and will let you know what information I'm able to find.
