|Jane||Mary Christina Double Schnieder Smith #104320593|
I know that you had requested a headstone photo for Mrs. Schneider/Smith. I had checked with the cemetery some time back, and they had no record of Mrs. Schnieder being buried in Beech Grove Cemetery. I thought that was strange, after finding that her parents were buried there. So I went to the genealogy center in the neighboring town (I love a good hunt!) and finally found an obituary for Mary C. Smith, who is Mary Christina Double Schnieder. I will type the obituary here, so you may update the memorial if you wish. She is buried with her husband, Lloyd Smith (apparently, maybe, she and Elmer Schnieder were divorced at some point).

MRS. MARY SMITH RITES TO BE HELD THURSDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Smith, 51, wife of Lloyd D. Smith, R.R. 4, Muncie, who died Tuesday afternoon at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Meeks mortuary, the Reverend Walter Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary.
Mrs. Smith had resided in Muncie since childhood. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Doster and Mrs. Paul Corn, both of Muncie; a son, Jack Schneider of Elmhurst, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. R.J. Forkner and Mrs. Ruth Norris, both of Whittier, Colo., and three grandchildren.

Wondering if you could share how you found out that Martha Jane Double who married Andrew Miller was a daughter of Jacob Double and Winifred Masters? I have searched for proof and cannot find any as of yet.
Thanks a ton!!

You are welcome for all the photos. Have a great weekend and Merry Christmas. Barb
|Grave Recorder||RE: Randa|
You're welcome. I'm happy that I was able to help. If you have any more in that cemetery you want me to watch out for, just let me know.
|Grave Recorder||Anton Randa|
Hello, I had printed out the several hundred photo requests from Bohemian Cemetery in Chicago back in June to work on but sometime in July, many of them were deleted unfulfilled and yours was one of them. I am happy to let you know that I have found the grave for Anton Randa in Section 11 and have posted a photo of his headstone for you. His death date is 12-11-1957 so you can add that to his memorial. Hope it helps!

You're very welcome. Glad I could help.
|Marilyn Jones||Your other photo requests for Surrey Center|
I had originally claimed all of your requests for Surrey Centre Cemetery, but could really only find John Loney for you.
The other names did not come up on the roll call for the place and since the list didn't have the graveyard section they are in, it really is a needle in a haystack to find them. I've noticed the "newer" graves do not show up. If you can get more information I would like to go back for you!
I found one James S Loney, but the birth/death years do not match up. Let me know if you want the pic anyways. Also found a neat one for a Frank Loney who died in 1900 at 31 years old. Took a pic just incase he belonged to you.
Thank you for your kindness! It's actually by accident that I had the photo of Walter. I got lost in that area while looking for a request for someone else and I figured since I was there and it was such a small cemetery that I'd just photograph it all and plug in any grave photos that may be missing from that cemetery when I get home! ;) It turns out that I had another photo of his plot so I posted it to his memorial this morning, and I have to say, he really is all by his self, but he has a beautiful view!
All my best, Alison

Well, now I have a red face because I can't duplicate the situation I asked about. Abeline/Abigail/Abby was the daughter of George and Susanna (Schaffer) Rupright and was sister to my gggrandmother, Sarah. In Abigail's obituary it states she died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Doeble.
It appears Mary had a sister, Elizabeth, born 1855, who married a 2nd time, 1896, in Michigan a Charles Ricard and her name in the record is Elizabeth Essig. Parents names are in the record. She doesn't appear on the census with the family and she is not mentioned in the obituaries that I have for mother or siblings. Do you have information about her? My e-mail is email@example.com.
