It was after my brother died in 2002 that I learned about FAG. Since then I have made a point to photograph family graves in Nebraska, where I live, and other locations around the country when possible. When time and the weather permits, I also photograph and record the graves of others. |
Please note that I own the copyright on the photographs I have taken and uploaded on FAG, as well as the biographies I have written. You have my permission to use the photographs or biographies for personal, non-commercial use. However, I fully expect you to give me written or verbal credit when you use them, as the situation dictates, or include them in your own genealogical work, just as you would a written source.

|Peggy Bargen Duey||RE: Editing Change|
We need to get the word out to other volunteers because Find A Grave will automatically do it in 3 - 4 weeks. The edits might not be correct. Please pass it on.

A friend told me about this chance a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent edits to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names / dates / places / plot #s.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section or do linking.

Thank you, I will keep in touch as I discover new information. Maybe we will make that connection.
|Kathren Munro||RE: Griswold|
It would be an honor to manage his memorial. John Griswold is my 2nd Cousin 7x removed. I am in the process of linking all of his children to his memorial, along with other families. I am doing extensive research on my Griswold Family, and very lucky to have the research material that was started in 1939. I will check into the Wetmore family to see what I can come up with.

Yes, Columbus married Laura Ellen Bradshaw (26 Feb 1874 - 15 Oct 1950) both buried in Calf Creek Cem., McCulloch Co., Tx.
My grandmother, Mattie Ethel Awalt Lovvorn was a daughter of General Hawthrone Awalt, the s/o: Joshua Franklin Awalt, s/o: Jacob C. Awalt, s/o: Michael Abraham Awalt.
Lum was the s/o: Daniel Awalt, the s/o: George, Jr., the s/o: George, Sr., the s/o: Michael Abraham Awalt.
Now, on to Lum's siblings.
Beautiful day here in South Texas.
|Jack Brannon||Awalt Families|
I just found you as I was researching some of my distant cousins, this morning it was Columbus C. "Lum" Awalt. My grandmother was a Awalt born in Tennessee, died in Alabama. My Awalt book has many empty blanks, but I refuse to quit. I will gladly credit any of your work if I use it.

Hi! Boy has it been a long, long time since I've been here!!
I did have a great holiday, hope you did too! I see what you mean about using photos- when you work as hard as you have for yours, yes, it's beyond irritating to have someone just poof- walk off with them, how rude! I'm happy to have family use mine, but everyone I've met has been like you. :) How lucky so far, except one, on Ancestry, has our Betsey sitting as someone we're not even related to. Wonder what she thinks of that? :)
I'll have to find all the Huson memorabilia- you'll love it! Brings them so close, you know?
Hope I'm back on here more- we've had the most hectic, frantic few months ever! :)

SKP, the area where the BG is got slammed by Sandy. But there are at least a dozen if not more head stones still standing.
