Medal of Honor Recipients
Mike one more question, are you doing this for ONLY Civil War Service? I have photos of Bias, Byas and Byus family members that received Medal of Honor for WW II and would happily share those with you if you are interested?

Email me directly if you want photos

I will in the meantime review my records and if there any family servicemen that received this award and I do NOT happen to have photos of any of them, I will personally contact direct family members and attain photos of them in uniform if possible.

Thanks again

Lt. William Van Buren Bias PHOTO
Mike, where did you obtain this photo for memorial # 104295634?

I ask, as there are persons claiming that this photo is of Lt. William Alexander Byus. Both men were ministers, both men served in the WV 7th Calvary one was in Co B and the Other was in Co D and both men attained the rank of Leiut. So it is very confusing

I just need to know if you have this photo from your family or from a direct family member of Wiliam V B Bias.

I have 2 photos of men in uniform, one is Labeled so I know for sure who that is, but this photo is NOT LABELED and I need to known who it actually is.

I know this is a PAIN, but for historical accuracy I need to know. THANKS!

Noticed the photo on Hubert Dilger. What is the source please? As a member of the Medal of Honor Historical Society of the US, photos are also collected. Possibly you have a few we do not currently possess.

Please e-mail me.

I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published.

Thank you for photo
Thank you for posting the photo of Zebedee Truesdell. He is my 1st cousin 4x removed. I just happened to have found that photo on NYHeritage yesterday and went to post it on here when I saw you had done it. Thank you for that! He was so young. He had another cousin that also fought and died in the Civil War that was only 23. Hiram Dickson.

RE; Enoch Colby Jr.
Can I ask where you found this picture? He is my great grandmother's older brother and he served in A Co. Chicago Light Artillery during the Civil War.
