I honestly thought I was alone in my penchant for cemeteries until I stumbled across Find-a-Grave. I am drawn to unusual settings, cemeteries that are overtaken by nature and homemade memorials. I have never found cemeteries to be creepy (although a few in Florida were borderline). Some of my friends and relatives are "interred" on Find-A-Grave. If you get a moment perhaps you can visit them. My mom Bernice Bergin, my brother, |
Thomas Walter Bergin, my Dad, Cecil Bergin my uncle, John A. Bergin, my aunt, Gertie Bergin and my good friends Sondra Rebalkin, Christel Dickinson, Debbie Smith ,Ruth M. Havel and
Thank you, I really enjoy the many friends I have made here!
I live in Portland, Oregon and I had a long career in graphics and advertising. I am now an "alla prima" painter.

Hi I am new to this memorial. Tammy Tackett was my sister and I'm trying to figure out who made the page for her remberance. Can anyone help me find out?

Are you still active on Find A Grave? Debbie & I were good friends and I think we have chatted before about us both being 'gravers'. Anyway, I was visiting with her mother Mary today and mentioned I looked at Debbie's Find A grave recently that you had done. Mary said she hasn't talked to you in years & wonders how you are? She wonders if you remarried & are still doing your art shows?

I own a copy of the Columbia County Cemetery Records book. Also, there is an Oregon Burial Guide which can be found at the library that also lists these burials. Hope this helps! :)

Dear C. Bergin:
Thank you so much for transferring Todd Crompton(15781650)to my care. I have updated all his vital information and added his obituary.
Hi C. Bergin:
Todd Crompton is the son of my first cousin, Darlene
Would you transfer him to me so I can update his information, add his obituary and connect him to his mother?
Thank you for your consideration.

I was on the GenWeb site and noticed that they have several request for adding the same data that is in findagrave to their site. Since you put in most of the names perhaps you would be interested in providing a list to them.

Celeste, I too am drawn to cemeteries and have quite a few photos to show for it. I always wonder at the lives of those buried, if they were happy, what they did, saw, and felt. Thank you for sharing your beautiful mom with me.

Celeste, while looking for Bergin/Burgin burials in Massachusetts on Find-a-Grave, your mother's honoring ad popped up. So I just have to ask, do you have any ancestral ties to Massachusetts? The line I'm connected to has connections to Waltham and Charlton, Mass.

Thank you for creating such a lovely and fitting tribute to Brooke. I never knew her but, I lived in Corvallis at the time of this tragedy. I will never forget all the lengths of bright pink plastic and string markers tied to bushes and trees, waving in the breeze along the Willamette River. The markers were used by searchers to indicate areas already searched in their diligent and heartbreaking quest to locate this dear girl.
