I have always loved cemeteries ever since I was a little girl. Where ever I go I try to find a cemetery to visit. I guess all the people on this site feel the same way, that's why here I am not so unusual. Now that I am married I have to try to get my husband to join me but I have not been so successful, I guess I will have to keep trying | |

Biographical data:
Born in Catamarca, Argentina on June 18, 1813 and died in Metán, Salta, Argentina, on October 3, 1841.
Biography:
"Governor of the province of Tucumán. He was defeated in the battle of Quebracho Herrado, persecuted, beheaded in Metan and his head was displayed on a pike in the Plaza Independencia, in Tucumán. Only his head was recovered by Mrs. Fortunata García de García, who buried it on secret in the Convent of San Francisco in Tucumán. Years later was buried in Recoleta Cemetery in his vault that contains an sculpture by the sculptor Biggi. He was the father of President Nicolás Avellaneda."

I went to the cemetery and the dates they have was 1904-1960.I took the picture but just wanted to check with you if it was the right person. This was the only Margaret Levee , they had. Let me know

I found some info on Samuel if you'd like to add to his page:
Born: 1872
Died: February 17, 1931 in New York of heart trouble.
Ferkauf was a Jewish character actor who had worked on the stage for over 30 years and was prominent in the Jewish Actors' Union. His wife Betty Ferkauf was also a stage actress.

Hi Helaine:
In your Find A Grave Memorial# 14337471, from Mr. David Alleno, into the biography you wrote "in the Recoletta". It's not correct, because the name of the cemetery is Recoleta, with only a "t".
I hope you correct it.
