Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised and work in northern Virginia. I'm a 65 year old Federal Government employee with 41 years of service. Almost ten years after its inception, I found this site quite by accident when a co-worker asked me to help him at lunch time take a photograph of a headstone that was overgrown with bushes. After that, I was hooked fulfilling photo requests, primarily at nearby Arlington National Cemetery.

Then it occurred to me that this would be a great place (free (thus far)) to document my family tree for all to see, which would be based on the extensive genealogical research that my aunt has been doing for the past 15 to 20 years. This project of linking thousands of memorials is going to take a very long time (if it's at all possible) to complete due to several memorial creators, totally unrelated to my family, who will neither transfer ownership nor respond to SAC edits. That is not to say that all memorial creators are like that. Indeed, most are very gracious and totally responsive, and for that, I whole-heartedly thank them.

If I have a memorial for one of your relatives, I'll gladly transfer ownership upon request. If you make your transfer request via SAC edit and after two days I haven't made the transfer, please email me directly or leave a public message here on this page.

You have my permission to use any of my photos, as long as you include attribution. (You don't need to ask.)

RE: Sarah Elizabeth Denton North McEntarfer
Well we're not a farm... just a little under an acre with right of way, an acre! The original deed was a 300 acre farm and got whittled down in parcels... probably including most of the neighbors. This abstract is another angle of research that might be interesting. We've found that the original owner who 'homesteaded' and bought from the US Govt. when Martin VanBuren was president, is buried in OH. This is going to be fun to do.

The abstract it what they now call a title search.... only you don't get any of the information.... it's been that way for years. My folks bought the property back when they gave the abstract/title history to the owner. It originally started out with 300 acres and was over the years acres were sold off. It included our neighbor's place and the farm across the road which my brother in law's parents owned.. then my sister and now my nephew. The back of the woods there included a section sold to the RR including a right of way. So far we've not found Jacob, but are looking! Also looking thru the other names as the property was sold or foreclosed on. It's interesting... some of the owners didn't read or write as they put their "X". I am going to ask my sister how old the farm house was as I'm pretty sure it is over 100 yrs old. It was probably the original farm back when.
