I am a professional photographer and genealogist (over 50 years), and long time historian of Coleman County, Texas (over 40 years). Over 20 years ago, I, along with my wife, Judia, and Vena Bob Gates, published all of the marked grave inscriptions in Coleman County, Texas in the 3 volume, "Coleman County Cemetery Inscriptions." I also have these records online at www.colemanhistory.com.|
Judia and I both continue to visit cemeteries, but I do all the computer work. Judia is an artist and does not relate to computers ... she is soooo lucky!
I have welcomed FindAGrave to help carry on what myself, my wife and others are doing to keep local history information available and not forgotten. I began in the middle of March 2011 adding burials that have not been added for Coleman County.
I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in the cemeteries and history of Coleman County. Ralph Terry, Coleman, Texas.

It seems I was wrong! Sarah, sister to William M was married to Alex Moore until she died. I thought it was unlikely that William (Bill) Babb's daughter married James Edward Shipman, brother to her mother Sarah! Will continue the search! Holly

Thank you for your interest in creating memorials. Just a correction for Sarah Babb that married James Edward Shipman. She was the daughter of William H. Babb and Elizabeth Bradley Babb, born in 1850. Her brother, William M. and Sarah Shipman (sister to James Edward Shipman) also had a daughter named Sarah. Thus the confusion. The 1860 Census for Hamilton county Texas will be helpful in regards to the two Sarah's ages.

Hi, how are you my friend.? Good I hope. I was going to ask if you would please transfer James Woodson Hipshers memorial to me so I can maintain it and add alot of stuff to it, as he was my great great great uncle. He was the twin brother of my great great great grandfather John Henry Hipsher and I have a picture of them as very young children holding hands. This is the oldest picture I have in my possession as it was taken around 1870 or so. If you could please do this for me I will forever be indebted to you. Thank you.

You recently fulfilled my photo request for Cleta's headstone. Could you try to locate Don Lewis (1902 - 1959)? He's not listed in Find a Grave, either.

Thank you for taking the time to get the one you did.
Our hearts go out to you and everyone in Texas effected by all this water and flooding.
I know it is devastating to say the least.
Know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

|Joe Moss||Our Connection-Andrew M. Nelson|
Tried your verizon.net email but it kicked out.
My name is Joe Moss and I live in Lake Jackson, TX. I believe that we emailed about CW stuff years ago and just realized that we are related when I found your Andrew M. Nelson Memorial on Find A Grave. Really appreciate you putting this out there.
I don't know our direct connection but Andrew was my ggg uncle. His sister, Amanda Nelson Little was my ggg grandmother.
She was married to William D. Little.
I would love to share family information with you that I have on Andrew.
While I believe, as it appears you do, that our fellow came with Davy Crockett I have never been able to prove that premise.
I was wondering if you have been able to do this.
I have recently come across US Army enlistment records from August 1834 that appear to be our fellow but show that he left his post in November that year. I have always heard that Andrew's wife and child where killed in a runaway wagon accident.
Really would like to compare notes and get your take on all of this.

Ralph, Re George Knox, I'm convinced that even though his true, given name is George, no one looking for him would think of searching it that way. Just wanted to let you know why I plan to decline your SAC. Now, depending on how his memorial marker reads, I may change it. Thanks for your diligence. Mike

Would appreciate an update to be entered on Lena Mae Williams Findagrave page with the following info. Lena Mae also has a marker at Shiloh Cemeterey, Hunt Coiunty, Texas. Just a date of death is on the one at Shiloh. She is actually buried at Glen Cove. Thank you so much for any assistance on this matter. Nancy Harris
