RE: Mary Ellen Sykes Hollingsworth
I am so glad to hear from you. There are some of us with in the different branches back from each line trying to locate more on her mother and how the different marriages went. Would you know for sure if her mother's second marriage would be to a Walter's - Watters - or Waters ?

If I am understanding this correct, we would share the same Grandfather, George Washington Jackson. I know he was married to three different ladies. I would descend from his third marriage to Mary Elizabeth Freeman Baker Jackson. Unsure if Mary Freeman's first husband died and then she married GW Jackson or how it worked out.

I would be thankful if you could share more on your line, and I will do the same if you are interested.

With sincere thanks,
Michael McDonald

Mary Ellen Sykes Hollingsworth
I wanted to see if you would connect Mary Ellen Sykes Hollingsworth with her parents.

Mathew Sikes 131670495 buried at the McNatt Cemetery in Robeson County, NC.

After the death of Mathew Sikes, Ellen Elizabeth Jackson would have remarried to a Watters/Walters/Water, but the gravestone has Watters on it. She is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Saint Paul's memorial 136491652.

Ellen Elizabeth Jackson would be my 3rd Great Aunt, daughter of George Washington Jackson who lived in the White Oak area of Bladen County, NC.

I would be thankful for any help,
Michael McDonald

Claudius Smith
Thank you very much for pointing out the duplicate Claudius Smith record I had created. I have deleted it now so that only your original remains.

I appreciate it very much! Thank you.

Mary E. Kelly Cromartie
Hi there,
I am looking for a grandmother, Mary E. Kelly Cromartie (b. 1811, d. 1833), wife of George Cromartie (b. 1804, d. 1892). Find-a-Grave has her referenced as being buried on "JM Guyton's Farm" off of Hwy 87 near Elizabethtown, NC. I noticed that that Guyton is one of the names that you research. Do you have any idea of where this farm used to be? I would love to find her tombstone.
Thank you,
Catherine Cromartie Norris

Guyton, Dowless, and Hester
Hey. My family is also Hester and Dowless. My Grandmother was Naomi Ruth Hester White. Her mother was Lucy Mariah Dowless Hester. Lucy's sister Amanda's death certificate was signed by Daisy G Daniel. Do you have any info on Daisy G Daniel? Was she a child of Amanda's? I remember my mother talking about Aunt Mandy. Thanks for any information..

Mary Hosier Baker Huske 33203112
This person is mistakenly attributed as the mother of William Huske's (1820-1893) children listed on his page. She is his second wife whom he married in 1876. The correct mother is Mary Catherine Baker Huske (1827-1873). I do not know where she is buried.

Just noticed it when I was researching family. Thank you for maintaining this site.

Best regards.

Winniford (Winnie) Malleta McDaniel Tyner
In searching for my McDaniel family I have found that Winnie Tyner whose death certificate said she died on 2 June 1918, was buried in the Odum Cemetery in Robeson County. I see that you have photographed the cemetery. Are there other graves there that are not identified?
