I live in central Massachusetts with my wife Barbara. Formerly the Director of Operations at a Worcester Mass. facility, I am now retired, leaving me much more time for prowling through graveyards!|
I particularly like discovering and photographing old gravestones, and consider myself very fortunate to be living in New England where so many of the early settlers are buried. I also try to photograph as many graves of veterans I come across, from those who fought in the Revolutionary War through the present time.
My objectives are two-fold:
1.When I post photos of their graves on Find A Grave, along with as much bio information as I can gather about them, I feel that I am honoring their lives, in some small way.
2. I want to capture as many of these old stones on disk before acid rain, vandalism, snowplows, and whatever obliterates them forever!
(Being a graveyard junkie, however, I am apt to take a picture of any interesting grave that catches my eye...regardless of the era)!

|Larry K||Eric Smith|
I was having problems reaching you via normal e-mail, so I'll try this mode.
Doing a follow-up on Eric Smith. We have done some more research on Eric Smith and have confirmed that indeed he is the relative of my wife (Carole). The photo request has been fulfilled for him. Would you please transfer his site to us for management. Thanks for your help!

|Gail D||Piper family requests|
I posted grave photos of Mary Ann Piper and her husband George. George's gravestone was broken and half buried but it looks like they put up a new stone for both of them.

After Hannah's father and sister were killed during an Indian attack on Lancaster, Hannah's mother (Mary Hayward) married David Whetcomb. Although Hannah's mother was buried as Mary Hayward Whetcomb, according to her headstone, her Find A Grave Memorial No. 18303268 lists her as Mary Hayward Whitcomb (the modern spelling of Whetcomb). Would you please be kind enough to link Hannah to her mother? When you do, you might be interested to read the biography that is written about Mary Hayward Whitcomb on her Find A Grave memorial. It's not quite accurate in all respects, but it gives you a taste of the unique situation surrounding the lives of this family.
Bye for now,

Well, that's a happy outcome, if quite unexpected! I will help you in any possible way to make all the appropriate links for them. I will take a look at their memorials and get back to you!
